| Hi guys,
for brave people I uploaded to OS4Depot my attempt to make a Theme Editor with Hollywood. It is largely a preliminary and wip version with many limitation and some possible issues. Please read carefully the readme file. I would like to collect some ideas and feedback to understand if I'm going in the right direction. There are may things that I don't know and I develop the program once I discover them and understand their behaviour.
ciao
EDIT Sorry to edit your post, but here is the link to your file on OS4depot. --- Moxee Last edited by Moxee on 25-Mar-2013 at 08:46 PM.

| FINALLY :) Thank you very much! I've just tried it and it does EXACTLY what I needed :D
Keep it up! I am typing this from Amiga.
What it would be great if possible to implement - the way Font preferences program shows: Screen title bar [with text], a window, shell and directory.
If Fonts - like display is created [or similar] - your Theme editor will be perfect for people like me :)
I like how Font preferences graphics are shown but to do a simplest task like changing a text color from simple black [on light background] to white [if I want dark background] - it took me over 3 hours today and without success :( Program changes palette, screen refreshes 3 times and then I can see what I've done... and prefereces are closed. Then I have to click Prefs again and find where I've been, scroll down... Totally user unfriendly.
Can`t wait your proggy to be more finished :) Thank you again!

| @djnick
Thanks, fonts are very far on my schedule. The main step I have to solve now is to be able to fully read gui.prefs and palettes data file. For this I think I have to use some C code for which I'm not really expert. If I solve this I will be able to have a fine workbench simulation and then will be the time for the fonts too.

| Hi
I found the motivation to move on with my Theme Editor and now I have version 0,3 more or less ready for upload. I want to release it for OS4 and Aros at the same time.
The project is not completed yet, but now, I think, it is at one stage that can become useful and usable. There are many many new improvements and one of the new functionalities is the possibility to build your theme from scratch by loading pre-built graphical items from a library (i.e a set of arrowup already designed from which you can select one to include and then modify for your theme) . Atm the library is an empty box. I would like to receive permission form people who built some theme to unpack the items they built for their themes in order to start populating this library. Or find some graphic volunteer.
Please e-mail me at sb5@libero.it if you can help in this way.
thanks
