| About ex amigans.. Most of the ex amigans i know that still see something in Amiga today seems to lose their interest as soon as they hear that it wont run their old classic software and games. Emulator just wont cut it for them since then they might as well just use uae on windows which run better already.
So imo one of the main focuses should be to add hardware emulation through fpga so that you can also run software/games out of the box that uses the custom chipset. |

| Maybe we need something new.
A workbench in the cloud?
That we can access true every system with a browser?

Good example.
Maybe someone could setup an OS4 version, something like icloud, so that we can access programs, make data, and write the data on locale drives or cloud drives. Last edited by Dirk-B on 12-Jul-2014 at 01:47 AM.

I like AROS 68k because it allows next-gen software to be backported to Classics including AROS x86 features. What do you think about that? |
I think that it's nice.
I hope that one day there could be a convergence.
About the FPGA stuff, i like it very much._________________ retired |

Gunnar says that they have a FPU available but it must be integrated with the current design and is not yet tested. So I assume it will be added later with new versions of the core in the FPGA. |

a new FPGA generation will become available next year. Gunnar said 500 MHz might become possible wth them. Last edited by OlafS25 on 12-Jul-2014 at 03:42 PM.

Thanks for answering my posts for me.
I found one discrepency though:

That's just for the hardware and a rudimentary softcore. I said fully upgraded. That means with the best Apollo softcores possible. Some of those may cost extra. |

Hey Robert, can you share what projects you have started and what's stopping you from completing them? |
Damn blacklisted IP - just lost another long post because I hit submit without remembering to copy the post first.
Anyway, the abridged version - two Android apps which stalled when I ran into issues using the Google Maps API and an iOS app which I've yet to do anything more than lay out the UI as it uses the camera and my developer account has lapsed.Last edited by Robert on 14-Jul-2014 at 02:21 PM.

I agree, that it'd be nice to run your old software via hardware emulation. I'm just curious though; how many people out there are really hell-bent on having hardware emulation versus just software emulation? The problem I run into nowadays, is that my disks are becoming unreadable and have errors galore.
As far as the topic subject goes, I think we have some creative people out there, who just need to get their products recognized. I found out about a lot of programs just because of this website. Granted, you're not back in the Commodore glory days where we had many more magazines and products being advertised, but you can still find plenty of good items by reading the forums and sites.
One thing I'm still looking forward to is the Amiga X5000 or whatever they finally call it. Sorry if I got the name wrong, but it's the next powerhouse coming in the near future. I can and will continue to support Amiga developers the world over, so I'm always keeping an eye out for the next game/hardware.
Keep up the great work developers!
Ed
