Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I always understood that Warp3D was an API for hardware acceleration of 3D functions.

I suppose Seiya means that Warp3D has no support for exploiting what was called T&L in the ancient times. All 3D transformations, lighting-calculations etc. have to be done in software.

In that form the AppStore is not commercial useable except they plan to allow Users to give a bought Software back at any Time.

I still don't get it how people can get this worked up over an app store? It isn't like 1000's of apps suddenly emerged. If it would bring an android sandbox with it I maybe would raise my eyebrows. This will not change anything, as I already said if programmers want to reach out to a bigger audience to earn a few, they could always be consistent and code their programs so the work on all three Amiga clones and make their programs a 30-day trial.

Although Double, triple, quadruple work as we have got used to in our Amiga Community does seem somewhat silly many times, I am actually not that worried about it, since I also believe while it many times hinders things, it also sometimes accelerates them and makes them better.

For when there is competition, you have to fight to be better and are motviated to become better and add more features.

Take for example Final Writer / Wordworth (hope i remembered names right) from the past. Seems to me like they were fighting against each other at one point, and both were adapting new stuff to their software very fast to make them shine just bit more from the other one.

I would imagine this have happeend especially on MorphOS side as well at some point. I can easily see how when AOS4 have been coming out and announcing things, that it have rouse that battle mentality to show to those buggering AOS team what MorphOS can do instead of everyone talking of AOS4.


Also, I basically think it is good there are at least two appstores for Amiga, for if there be only one, like in Apples case, it would be hard to make new one if someone gets a good idea for a appstore kind of thing.

It looks like all software is displayed regardless of which version you're using. Notice how the 68k version has a load of OS4 only software displayed in the window too.

here's an idea: how about waiting until it's actually released before starting to whinge and rend our garments? just for kicks. just to change things up a little. what do you say? i know it's not the amiga way, but just this once i'd truly love it if people who won't be using it anyway no matter what would keep their incredibly insightful and hugely important opinions to themselves.

Gutahr is in one point right you should better keep out of Amistore threads. It only makes the impression of a bad looser, make the better offer and persuade by the offering. In a way both sides have commercial interests so show why it is better for developers to offer it on your store than on amigakits store or at least on both.

Moaning about them doing the same does not change anything...

Stocking your products in two stores has got to be better than in just one.

One word about "2 commercial entities" ... I am not eager to rule, i like to invest, so working together may mean paying 2 projects at the same time. 1x app tore 1x a working 3D driver. For example.
