hey guys, just wanted to mention that Stardust / SSD got itself another clone last week, it is not made by the original developers but this new game does feature the tunnel sequence (finally!) and includes features from all 3 Stardust games (1+2 on Amiga and 3 from PS3). game is called "Nano Assault Neo"

i have written a small article on my blog about it , pictures and a video too.

Interesting, not too many good games on PS4 yet and Resogun was a bit disappointing... This game seems to also be for Wii U according to Wikipedia.

@Mr_Capehill

Did not know of the WiiU version but then again i haven't got one and never will.

Resogun grows on you, at first i wasn't all that impressed either but now i like it a lot but yes nothing like Super Stardust.

@TLSOM

as for SSD on Vita and PSP... never did like em as much as the one on PS3... The PS3 one i played straight for 4 months and it was the reason to why i bought a PS3 alltogheter.

@Toaks

Thanks for letting me know about this one.

I saw it on WII U, and even checked the video, but couldnt quite make out wether its a good game or not. Seeing your gameplay video makes it look like its a good game actually.

Also, I didnt know about any connection to Stardust games, except that it looked bit similar.

@Toaks

It's the sequel of the Nintendo 3DS episode. It was a good game maybe I will try the WiiU version. (As it's now two years old, maybe it will be discounted)

There is no ssd 3 on ps3, is super stardust HD on ps3, super stardust delta on psv from part of the original developers from housemarque.

That game is a inspiration from shinnen that are from the amiga age some of the team members, is Manfred Linzner (pink) the musician of nano assault neo?

Tunnel? That's an intestine.

A few too many artistic freedoms in the design of the enemies there, the nematodes (worms) looked believable but tardigrades (and with six legs instead of eight, no less) and stick-legged insects don't commonly pop up in that sort of environment

General confusion between macro and micro biology is what I'm trying to convey here. But the gameplay seems quite good.

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

@kickstart

SSD 3 on the PS3, i said it like this as it is the spiritual sequel to the SD and SSD from the Amiga which is made by the very same team (Bloodhouse/Terramarque which meged into Housemarque) and in all teasers and interviews they mention the Amiga many, many times.

Super Stardust on the PSP and Vita is also by the same teams but those are as far as i can tell just variations from the PS3 SSD and not new versions or such. (i got both handheld versions but never really appriciated them because of the small screen).

@olegil

you are so right, it is indeed not insects.. was some comment a friend mentioned when he was watching me play over the playshare feature on the PS4

@all

sorry if i hyped this up to be a remake/clone like if it was 1:1 , i just mean the boss design, levels and worlds aswell as the tunnel sequences, it is clear that they had a huge love towards the Amiga games mixed with the rotating globe from the PS3 SSD game (or mario galaxy as someone else mentioned)..

@bugala and others

thanks for all the input.

cheers
