| I am working on AEROS premium (in cooperation with elltech) which will allow to execute Windows for ARM apps, Windows for i386 apps (using wine + exagear) and i386 linux apps (using exagear).
Here is a video showing WinUAE 3.0.0 with AROS68k roms running on WIP AEROS for Raspberry 2

| @pavlor Yep...not bad for a relative outdated arm CPU : ) I will check it on my odroid u3 next time. Should reach full speed easily _________________ AROS Broadway - AEROS - Aminux - AmiCloud - indieGO! | @tlosm : ) you forget that the Pi in the video is running the windows version of winuae (so it emulates a i386)
Native arm UAE is much faster. It was just to test i386 performance ; ) _________________ AROS Broadway - AEROS - Aminux - AmiCloud - indieGO! Appstore - AmiWallet - VAN lossless video codec - AMC Amiga media Center -KrypUnite - LibertyNet - MinX - amigaNX |

| @CritAnime Aeros comes with uae4all2 as well. For rtg and jit I believe winuae to be the only option.
There is no raspi 2 bundle yet, I am a bit in vacatiomode/summer break. You could order at Vesalia they have access to the latest aeros image as well. _________________ AROS Broadway - AEROS - Aminux - AmiCloud - indieGO! So if you run OS4 on that, and then run a 68k app, then....
...68k instructions get JITed into PPC instructions by Petunia, which then get JITed into x86 instructions by UAE's QEMU PPC emulation, which then get JITed into ARMv7 instructions by exagear.
On the one hand, it's amazing that something like that works. On the other hand, it feels deeply, deeply wrong :)
(Of course, "by Petunia" is rather a simplification --- Petunia being written in PPC code itself, so being executed by two layers of emulation) |

Are there any amiga utilities that can transfer images to SD cards for use with RaspberryPi (NOOBS, AEROS etc)?

| @Cass The simplest way would be to use gparted and to create a fat partition on the sd-card. This partition would be visible on a Amiga. With a pcmcia adapter you could transfer stuff from a a600/1200. _________________ AROS Broadway - AEROS - Aminux - AmiCloud - indieGO! | Aeros premium is now ready : ) Available at www.ares-shop.de I am fine tuning it right now so a updated aeros plus image will be uploaded tomorrow.
Since the last video the emulation has become 10% faster. The last podcast interview reminded to try winfellow ... Well it works well without overclocking the Pi.
So far I have added winuae 3.0 , winfellow, playonlinux, Skype and tomorrow I will add teamviewer and spotify Last edited by phoenixkonsole on 05-Jun-2015 at 08:30 PM.

But there's no ARM JIT for WinUAE (and not even an x64 one, unfortunately). |

Which is not that easy to achieve, since not all software can use all cores squeezing them. On the contrary, it's not easy, and even impossible some times.
However if you take a look at the benchmark results, and then calculate the MIPS of each platform, you can see how such misleading and wrong is to continue using such unit of measure. |

| @cdimauro The arm7 is much faster than the arm6.. So the 4 - 6 times faster is The overall performance gain vs a Pi 1. It doesn't matter if the apps are multicore aware or not, Linux will move them on a free core. Multitasking.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RLX4Psjn3es
The arm7 has also neon which is translated to mmx/sse if you run i386 binaries It is like a pentium vs a pentium3

| You know that winuae is a i386 app? So it comes with ppc-jit as well. On a odroid u3 or better it should work. A Pi is a bit too slow. But it works. I assume in 3-5 years every cheap arm soc can run amigaos4 emulated this way Last edited by phoenixkonsole on 06-Jun-2015 at 08:31 AM.
