I briefly used A3000 with flixer fixer. It was nice, except when there was a lot of movement on screen. With fast movement on screen screen became blurred a little, so, flixer fixer was not optimal for things like multimedia presentations. For video titling it did not matter as video was anyway recorded with flixer fixer off.
For A4000 I got p5 scandoubler to video slot. (works together with CV64-3D) I was shocked to find out it managed to put through only ~4096 colors, so it enabled only crappy output to VGA. With multisync monitor on motherboard RGB port I got 24bit palette, when connected to VGA port, colors were destroyed.
The importer informed that it is a feature of the scandoubler. Later I found out that p5 had anyway fixed some scandoublers to output 24bit. But when I found it out, p5 was already gone.
Now I consider transferring the scandoubler to A2000, unless someone knows how/who can fix the scandoubler to handle AGA caliber output.
Anyone?
+ Another matter... at one point I set up AGA and CV64 to function as dual monitor setup, but I found it challenging to set it so that AOS would not blank AGA output when focus was on CV64 screen. I managed to make it work only with a few apps.
Anyone have a link to tutorial of how to make that config to work perfectly?
If not, then I consider selling the CV64-3D and downgrade A4k to plain AGA. _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer? |
