Fusion is still copyrighted and was never released as public domain. In fact Jim Drew is planning on updating it. If you want to use Mac emulation maybe try Shapeshifter instead. Alternatively you can try purchasing Fusion. Jim Drew is a regular at eab.
As for Riva, bare in mind that only fairly low resolution files run full speed, even with a Vampire. You can tweak tooltypes and/or command line arguments though to try to get a bit more speed though. Personally I found froggerng the better player though. Maybe give that a try. I can't recall about Riva, but with froggerng copying kick start to ram made a surprising amount of difference. Last edited by fishy_fis on 12-Dec-2016 at 09:47 AM.

As for FUSION I thought it got released back in the amiga format days on CD ? I have not tried Shapeshifter as I thought there was a bug with it on the vampire ? if not then I will give it a try
@ Hypex
I do not have moovid but action does not seem to play the AVIs in colour, The sounds OK and in scync but not the right picture in corlour IN fact I have used cyber AVI It plays the videos a lot better but it seems to be hit and miss with the files Some play with no sound and others play fine and these are the AVIs that came on the 3.9 cd ?

Not really sure of the point of the link there. :) The youtube video itself is full of artifacts and unclear, not to mention a low frame rate. Can't tell how good or bad the video in the clip is. It appears low res and about 12fps, but you really cant tell.
All video files I've seen on Vampire thus far have been pretty low resolution. The best one I've seen is the Archer Top Gun clip, which while pretty well encoded was, if I recall correctly, a 320*240 video. Seemed fractionally slow (although probably only noticeable if a person is familiar with it to begin with), but otherwise pretty well perfect.
Anyway, the point here isn't to dismiss the Vampire's abilities, it seems a pretty nice bit of kit for classic Amigas, but rather a suggestion to the original poster as to why they may be having problems with frame rates. |

Video I posted is 640x360 at 1000kbps bitrate, but RiVA can play 2000 or even 2500kbps on x13. It looks almost like dvd quality no joke. |

Riva was much better than Frogger when it came to playing MPGs. It was optimised and could handle files that were unplayable using Frogger.
Cheers

Is that the full or a demo version of Moovid? Seem to remember some restriction like that but could well be wrong. I used to play avi files in colour with it no problem.
Cheers

i think the problem you are referring to has been the reason not to include fpu with the current cores as yet. there has been a number of presentations running mac os software with shapeshifter on vampire, so i assume, it must be working. on the other hand, if im not mistaken, the autor of fusion is working together with a vampire team in order to deliver a native version. |

Sounds like my experience lately on my STB. It can be easier downloading shows I missed but mostly I find the video and sound is out of synch, the sound randomly goes missing or the sound is weird with crowd noises that sound like glass or diamonds.
In that case I prefer to put up with the commercials over the perfectly fluent MPEG2 stream.
Aminet is your friend. But I'm sure there were more,
