Hi

I'm looking for a cheap way to add CDrom to my A1200 its not in a tower case yet so don't really want ide leads hanging of it.

would this work?

Not a chance, I'm afraid. You'll have to go either IDE (internal port) or SCSI (accelerator, squirrel). I have seen people squeeze those slot-loading laptop CD-ROM drives into the stock case before, although I wouldn't want to do that!

Nope! Drivers issues etc. There are some solutions though, if you want PCMCIA. PCMCIA to IDE-adapter f.i. CD1200+
