Looking to the recent list of aminet.net, it seems to me that the download counter is not working.

Can't imagine that at the last week nobody downloaded anyhing from the mother of appstores.

You're right. Numbers in the dls: column seem a bit odd.

It's not the counter that's broken, search result listings (that includes recent) simply don't display it properly anymore. Click on the link for the package details and you'll see the actual number of downloads.

We're looking into it.

readme + archive = package, that's how we refer to it internally. Hence the script that shows 'package' details is called package,php, which is the reason for URLs like aminet.net/package/foo/bar/something.
