| Hi,
I recently bought an Amiga 4000 REV B motherboard. I am using a previously purchased 3640 CPU daughter board. When powered on, the computer cycles from the black to gray screen then hangs. There is no floppy or IDE access is attempted, no early boot menu options either. I know the CPU is working somewhat since if I remove the Chipram SIMM, the computer cycles through a green screen. Plus as mentioned before some initialization occurs.
Any ideas?

have you set the cpu clock jumpers to ext?
Is the cpu board seated correctly (using stand offs?) |

The jumpers are set to EXT (100 AND 104). The CPU card is making good contact. I have even tried seating the card without the strand offs. I will try re-tensioning the pins in the socket.

Re-tensioning the CPU pins on the motherboard socket has helped. My A4000 lives. Thanks for your suggestions.
