I use a xerox 3225 work centre with my X5000 and under OS4 I have no problems printing using the postscript driver. Under Debian 9 it’s also recognised straight away as it’s a Linux compatible printer.
Not tried the scanning function under Linux but the printer has a scan to email function anyway so that gets round any possible issues I may need the scan function for.
Acts as a good photocopier too so great all rounder.
