Mark (one of our site PHP developers) has modified the 'user account' page to display a history of your posts, at the moment it only shows forum comments, but later it will include a history of other comments such as news and polls, you can only view your own history and no one elses. This will help you keep track of your posts.

@DaveyD

yes thats quite useful, I have also checked to make sure that I can't see anyone elses posts by viewing their profile, seems to work the way it should.

@AmigaOneProductions

It was originally part of XOOPS (this site's CMS) but was disabled because anyone could see anyone elses post history, Mark has now modified it.

* Forum post history works
* News comments isnt working yet as it only shows what news items one has posted instead of what comments one has posted
* Poll comments will be added too.

@DaveyD

The big problem with XOOPS (and all the other forum engines out there) is that news comments are handled differently from forum comments (and there's a different set of functionality in the different comment-pages). There really ISN'T a reason for this, technically speaking. Forum threads could easily have been linked to a news posting (for instance, when reading a news item, you could have the option to make a comment in a new thread, or view existing threads and make a comment in one of them. It might have been more intuitive that way, as we now get lots of forum threads linking to news items instead.

Would this be an idea?

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

Any chance of having the 'score' displayed as well?

I think it' something like 2pts for forum post, 10 for news etc...

Just a thought.

@DaveyD and Mark

Great work!

Now all we need for a comprehensive round-up at AmigaWorld is a gallery section...

So? What's wrong with that? I miss that anyway, I like to be able to see other people's recent posts. I don't see what the prob is.

You've already made you're post to a public board anyway.

Martyn.
