You're right. I have 1.3.0 of 68040 library. But in the ID it says it's dirty. A full release shouldn't have a dirty file.

I checked the Reaction classes and they are of similar vintage. But I don't think that's it. HDToolbox works fine and can load up the GUi. It's just using the ask device option kills it. I suspect it's the drive scanner that is crashing out. It could do with NSD64 or whatever it used. Something is wrecking it when it scans the devices. I don't know if it's a HDToolbox or NSD64 hack but something is buggy. It's an old bug as well as HDToolbox is one of the classic programs that can always crash on something it doesn't like.

In any case I specified the Pi device exactly. And it loads up fine with the units. So I checked. I have CFS set as I had installed SFS. Don't know if there is incompatibility there. My max transfer is at 0x1fe00 IDE standard so that can't be it. In fact too small really. Should be able to max that out.
