Next to an AmigaOS4 native port of UAE 0.8.25 various other emulators have already been ported to AmigaOS4. The following two screenshots show the c64 emulator Frodo and the arcade emulator xMame.

Lets see some nice looking games like Marvel Super Heroes being demoed on MAME..! :)

These three emulators shown in these few screenshots are the three emulators I want most .. C64, Amiga, and Arcade... mmmmmmmm :)

-Edit- BTW that anime backdrop looks cool! I've got a nice Goku background, but I'm starting to get bored of it.

Damn if all this is coming NOW, just imagine what software will be out then when OS4 is actually RELEASED and people can REALLY get to grips with it

More great news indeed, if all this keeps up i'll certainly be investing in some sort of H/W to run OS4 later this year, oh hell yes

Bodie: Yes, these ports were done by me. Some of them have still some work, though, mostly Soundcode and Joystick.

>Edit- BTW that anime backdrop looks cool! I've got a nice Goku background, but I'm starting to >get bored of it.

It is from .hack - Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (I usually have either a Fantasy or an Anime Backdrop on my Amiga :) )

Note: Yesterday I also finally updated NeoMame and CpMame to 0.79.1 Sources, so they are
having the recent version now too :)

Great work, Steffen!

Do NeoGeo games (specifically, Metal Slug ) work on this version of Mame?

They should. It is just not tested as I have no NeoGeo-ROMs in versions fitting for the recent
version of MAME (they change the ROMs all the time).

NeoMame which is also included is the NeoGeo-only version of Mame. And there is CpMame for Capcom CP-1/CP-2 only.

@MagicSN:

Awesome, thanks! I've been using NeoRage, but I'd heard that MAME could do NeoGeo too.

I think you'll find that MAME's at 0.80 now so your ports are out of date

Steffen,

do the ports you've made use the legendary application.library previously discussed in CAM? Do they in any other way take advantage of AmigaOS 4 specific features?

Regards,
Peter

Surely these will be included in AOS4 as contributions .... ?

NeoRage contains some x86-specific stuff AFAIK.

>How fps get that emulators in OS4?

Later. These are still very Beta.

>I think you'll find that MAME's at 0.80 now so your ports are out of date

Not, as the most recent version of xMame on which my ports are based
is 0.79.1 :) As soon as the xMame guy updates to 0.80 or whatever I will
update too...

>do the ports you've made use the legendary application.library previously >discussed in CAM? Do they in any other way take advantage of AmigaOS 4 specific >features?

Not right now. It is just early Betas right now. I definitely plan to support
AmigaInput.

>Surely these will be included in AOS4 as contributions .... ?

I think the Mame authors would object to Mame being included to any
commercial project, they are extremely Anti-commercial minded
(I discussed with them about such a thing for a different
CD-project before, and they started the discussion with a "no" and ended
it with a "no"). The only people who use MAME in commercial projects (like
Arcade looking PCs) or on CDs are the people who did not ask for permission,
I guess :) Or they are better in convincing people with arguments...

Mame and other stuff will be available for free download once the OS 4 prerelease
is out, though.
