| Great to see such immediate benefits for Amigans due to EU expansion.
Congratulations to everyone from the 10 new EU member countries. |

| if Turkey can try to be a member then Australia too . But i'm afraid shipping to down under wouldn't be much cheaper anyway. |

| Heh, if the UK carries on the way it's heading, I wouldn't be at all suprised if we were booted clean out of the EU anyway!
Seriously though, that is good news. I once ordered hundreds of pounds worth of equipment from Elbox, and while I was extremely satisfied with the sale itself, I was quite miffed when I was asked to pay £101 at the door for "customs charges". I had never ordered such a large amount of stuff from abroad before and was not aware there would be any such charge. I'd already stretched my budget to get everything I wanted, so the £101 unexpected customs charge was NOT welcome.
So yes, this is definately good news.

| I dont think the actual customs charges will be going anywhere. Those are the standard import taxes that get put on whenever something enters the UK... |

I don't think there is customs tax within the EU. There is just the VAT/TVA local sales/purchase tax to pay. Of course, Australians and Americans must pay customs duty on EU goods; that's only fair!

Can we join too? It's getting kind of boring out here now that our PM is being nice to George again :)

| Nice to finally see a small company get something good out of EU.
I'm afraid neither Canada, Aus OR Turkey will be welcome in the near future, then again who wants EU anyway?? _________________
