YESSSS !!!!

Note: They are pre-release binaries. They must be checked against bugs. At least, it's what the page says.

Well, so they are just perfect to run on OS4 PreRelease

No. The current version does not have the Altivec cores included, purely because the OS4 kernel needs to provide the necessary support for Altivec first. As soon as that is done, I'll upload Altivec-enabled versions of the clients (flick of a compiler switch )

Shame, I guess I better run the client with Linux then, since the Altivec more than doubles the keyrate

Only as far as RC5-72 is concerned. One reason why it's a good idea for OS4 users to concentrate on OGR for now - I mean, the Amiga team is in the top 5 in both OGR-24 and OGR-25, and we could move higher with more G4's contributing RC5-72 is not going to be completed anytime soon (the 0.1% completion point was only just recently reached), so we have plenty of time to catch up when an Altivec enabled client/os is available.

I do contribute to OGR-24/25 with a P4 2.8Ghz . That processor and the G4 are equal at OGR, but the G4 with Altivec enabled is more than twice as fast when cracking RC5-72.
OT I also have a K6-2 500mhz running OGR only.

Still going strong after 6 years, first on the A1 and now on the Sam also.
