Does this mean that TurboPrint is required even when you own an OS4 supported printer? I know TurboPrint is integrated into MorphOS, but why should people with OS4 supported printers get OS3.x TurboPrint? |

| Wow, 119E + shipping, that makes some 25% of an average netto monthly wage here.
Still strongly considering!
We need a new developed software and without support where would we be. |

| yes its abit steep but what to expect? , AE4 and PS5 costs more or less the same too.
anyway its a sorely needed app and i wish people would buy it so that we can atleast attract some more commercial developers and build the road to fame and glory _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| I sent my order in. I intended to get an office suite for my Amiga back in 1998, but it never worked out. Second attempt. _________________ : AmigaOneXE (unmod.) 750FX/512 MB +stuff & AmigaOS 4.(0|1) : A1200/68060&96MB/SCSI/EM1200-Voodoo3 & OS 3.5 : A500/1MB : Pegasos (ff) 512 MB & MorphOS Praise seitan.

Probably also due to the royalties they need to pay.
Does make the cost for AmigaOS4.0 look extremely cheap though! I mean AmigaOS4.0 is the result of years of hard work done by dozens of developers and beta-testers. OS4 Papyrus will be a port of an existing application to a (not too) different platform (OS3, MorphOS port already exists...). |

My words. And by the way, if we don't get together a minimum of 60 preorders, it would really be THE shame. |

You should attach that poll to Michael's news item so it doesn't drop off the radar screen. _________________ AmigaOS 4.x Beta Tester - Classic Amiga enthusiast - http://www.hd-zone.com is my Amiga Blog, check it out!

| I'll order one too.
This is better because it's being done by Amiga types, rather than bloated OOo.
It will be way more optimized for AOS than the aforementioned SW.
I still look forward to getting SBase5 Pro, though!
And, I've already prepaid for Pagestraem for AOS4.0. (Last year.) |

I can't do that! But maybe some moderator could do this? Last edited by Samwel on 16-Jun-2005 at 10:35 PM.

| Hmm...last time I preordered something, I got iFusion.
Still, I'll consider it. We do need an office suite for OS4. I'll have to see how this compares to OpenOffice...

Actually (as far as I know) it took quite lot of work to port Papyrus Office to OS3 and MOS. I followed porting process a little and it must have taken at least 12 months, if not 18 months... Although I couldnt find Papyrus satisfying enough for buying I know it is not simple five minute SDL recompile. _________________ Amiga Developer Amiga 500, Efika, Mac Mini and PowerBook
