Software News   Software News : OS4 ccache and distcc
posted by ssolie on 8-Aug-2006 17:04:11 (2295 reads)
The ccache compiler cache has been ported to OS4 and passes the included test suite.
An updated distcc distributed compiler is also available which fixes a problem discovered during the ccache testing.

You can use the ccache and distcc tools together or independently in your project build systems.
Both tools are available from OS4Depot. Add in the parallel make in your SDK and a cross-compiler or two from zerohero (link?) and you can play with the big boys.

Grab them both from OS4Depot: ccache and distcc.

ccache sounds interesting, I'll give it a whirl. Nice one.

Cheers,
Bean.

Do you know if someone ported a recent libgc version cleanly to OS3/OS4/MOS?

I've used them both with Gentoo on my Pegs for a long time and it's amazingly fast!
