Do i have to add that i already put the date in the calendar before.I made certainly a mistake,because there is only the 10th may ,lacks the 11th.

Last year Carl posted after visiting amiwest ,i don't know if he will come back to read you(all of you).My hope,right now he's very busy on rebol3 supposed to be finished for devcon in France.
let's wait and see...
He's searching someone to advertise his work,it's paid not a fortune of course take look at help

Mr. Sassenrath was chatting all about the next version of REBOL in the hotel rooms after AmiWest for the few of us that were lucky enough to be present. His ideas on REBOL and what the future could be like (enabled with REBOL of course ) were even more interesting than the stories of his adventures at Amiga, Apple, HP, etc. There was a heck of a lot of work to do so it will be interesting to hear if he and his team made the show deadline or not.

Wow, that's quite helpful, sarcasm, instead of a more than single line news submission. FYI, we generally delete news submissions that have no content to them other than a link, so it's entirely up to you. I have no issue with this item being published as news, only the fact that you couldn't be bothered to write more than a single partial sentence and give a link that doesn't work on AW (in news) without being fixed.

Feel free to create a website, but it would be more useful if you'd adhere to the standards we hold nearly all news items to, and give a summary, or a partial quote of what the link points to, instead of what was submitted.

Now, hopefully back to discussion of the news itself..

A bit of Amiga-related history, that you might find interesting:

If you look at the picture in the lower right of the "REBOL DevCon 2007" page: http://devcon2007.rebdocproj.org/
you see Carl Sassenrath handing over a first price for best new REBOL program at the 2005 DevCon. It's me receiving the price for a port of DPaint made 100% in REBOL. I had spent about a month on the project at that time, and it already was better than the original DPaint at some things like stretching a bitmap, because REBOL utilize AGG (Anti-Grain Geometry): http://www.antigrain.com/

As a developer, I can't think of any other language out there, where you can make such good progress in such a short time with so little code, than with REBOL. That language has a lot of the Amiga spirit! I use it on a daily basis, and it makes programming so much fun!

So if you're a programmer, system developer or the like, it might be a good idea to visit a REBOL DevCon!

Geomol, you need to put a link to RPaint here so ppl who DO know Rebol/View can test and see what Rebol can really do. I have allso sent a note to Michael from AmigaForever and he will be spreading the word.Rebol/View on the Amiga does work but lacks some of the features found on Windows.The main being set-browser-path which I have not been able to figure out but then that is also true on rpm based Linux distros

alanwall, I put Canvas RPaint on hold late 2005 because of some technical problems. So because it hasn't reached version 1.0 yet, I've kept a low profile about it. I hope, it'll become version 1.0 one day, so it can be released on all View platforms, and I'll make sure, you guys know about it, when that happen.
