If I'm not mistaken AmigaSYS runs on all listed platforms (AmigaOS4, MorphOS, Linux, Macintosh, Xbox, PocketPC) under E-UAE.
So the "New slogen" should be something like this: AmigaSYS is a pre-installed AmigaOS distribution. Supported platforms: WinUAE, E-UAE, real Amiga computers. AmigaSYS requires the original AmigaOS install disks/CDs.

Well, that's true. In that case it would need to be described like a "collection of free/shareware programs which can be installed with the original AmigaOS disks and will turn your system into a complete pre-configured AmigaOS system". Or whatever :)

Was nobody's problem with this information , he is indicated on more place on the web page :

AmigaSYS is completely free , but you will need to have an original Commodore or Amiga Forever Kickstart ROM, Workbench and Extras disks to install it.

That let everybody be satisfied he was rewritten :

I have to setup a new Amithlon box soon. AmigaSYS for it will save me a lot of time. It would be fine if you integrated all those additional packages for USB, additional drivers and the like that endusers just have a three step setup: first to install the basic system, second to upgrade to AmigaSYS and third to insert a thumbdrive with their keyfiles and AmigaSYS for Amithlon is completed.
Will you offer predefined monitor resolutions? It is very difficult to set them up manually if you go for higher resolutions and widescreen modes so it would be a great improvement to have many of them predefined.

What you say would be good , but unfortunately this would be very heavy to carry out , much the supported and the unsupported hardware. AmigaSYS nothing will imply a pre-set configuration. After setup single AmigaSYS setupot it is necessary to initiate what positions himself the system , and gets it what kind of resolutions you can write to make a choice. If the video card is unsupported then only basis you know a resolution , than you have to install a separate driving program here at similar systems. (Kernel GFX USB NET etc).

I would like to make changes in this later of course , with inbuilt driving programs , etc, depends on it how large an interest will be.

Currently according to me because of that good, everybody dared it installs what he needs. (drivers)

I understand that this is a lot of work and cannot be done by a fingersnip. What I realized is that it is difficult to find drivers that work together. Some combinations allow to run USB but not networking, others have networking but no sound and so on. I hoped someone who has found a working configuration for all important components to release this as kind of snapshot for others. But again, due to the diversity of hardware components this is not possible, sadly. Anyway, I am very much interested in your new version. Hope to test it soon.

He is this situation really unfortunately. My present configuration altogether not compatible , I test it on somebody else machine what is compatible . I said it because of this himself accomplishing the pre-set options very much heavy. That may be I solve it , but an hardware what is not compatible, and an other what is a yes , it is not possible to set this up with 1 machine shortly. Very much the variation and the compatible and the not compatible hardware.

Possibly in the first version not , but this takes shape in the later ones, feedbacks, proposals , etc..

I put something else into it with pleasure the basis into a version, if somebody comes up with a proposal like that what is good certainly and works (net,usb etc,etc), but I cannot guarantee that I can test everything.

During the installer one could run a PCItool to check which hardware gets identified and generate a report for this. This report file allows to install the proper modules for every machine. Heck, why didn't I do this before? It's so obvious.

I don't understand your question but I explain it once more. The update packages and driver archives come with a lot of driver modules that can be installed by insmod. In advance, you don't know which modules have to be installed for a certain machine¹. To solve this you can run pciscan that came with one of the update packages by Bernie which detects the PCI devices built into your computer. All the other PCItools are GUI-driven and therefore not good for automation. You simply get a list by pciscan, a text output. By that list the installer can decide which additional drivers have to be installed to get network, sound, graphics running in case they are not supported by the already installed Amithlon kernel.

¹ Well, yes, you simply can install every Linux kernel module driver of the whole package but this is exactly what caused problems to me many times in correlation with native AmigaOS drivers when I did that years ago.
