Events   Events : Pictures from Danish Amiga meeting
posted by nbache on 4-Feb-2010 22:35:49 (4256 reads)
On my picture site, http://nbache.dk/ I have put some new pictures, this time from the Danish Amiga meeting held last Saturday, January 30th, in Værløse near Copenhagen.

Even though the report and the picture captions are in Danish, a big part of the captions are names, and the pictures of course speak for themselves. So feel free to have a look, even if you don't understand Danish .

Best regards,

Niels

I counted 22 people in attendance.

How did you get so many attendees?

Our town, Austin, TX, tech-oriented of about 300,000 in town, would only be able to turn out 10 people if I twisted everyone's arm.

I am envious!

28 people was there AFAIK.
I hope the next meeting will be longer as 6 hours was less time than many used for transport, it was a great meeting though

The hollywood presentation was good although the game that was to be presented didn't run on my A1 due t lack of RAM. To the rescue came a Mac laptop with more ram which in itself showed the strenght o Hollywoods ability to compile to different targets.

There is a video from the meeting - also some recordings from the game.

You can see the game around 8.25 in the movie

@bitmap
Yep, looks interesting. I can see that game are hi-res, but itself really far from perfect fighting like mortal kombat 3. Characters are blinking, animation of game itself a bit slow .. Remind me some old StreetFighter or kind , only unpolished and slow :) Still, interesting to check this out.

If I remeber correct - the footage used are old pictures of the authors schoolmates stored on floppy for many years - so I don't expect is has many FPS. But you should be able to PM the author on AW.net if you have questions - his handle is: alfkil

Well, people came -- in spite of an extraordinarily cold and snowy winter this year -- from all parts of Denmark, so if you compare Austin's 300.000 people with Denmark's 5 million+ ... I'd say your attendance of ten people is quite impressive .

Niels

I don't remember the Draco owners name but you might be able to find him on amiga.dk. I had never seen a Draco before, very impressive, seemed like a heavy solid construction

@Troels: I'd love to, but i think there's no English section there, and my Dannish isn't good at all! I will probably have trouble even registering!

On picture 13 are the Draco and the names of the people on the picture:

Luc, Godtfred, Hot2not, Lonel og Popstar (with Troels and alfkil in the background)

It's not Luc, popstar Lonel or Hot2Not - so it might be Godtfred??
