Software News   Software News : New software releases by OnyxSoft
   posted by Deniil715 on 15-Sep-2010 21:44:41 (3021 reads)
OnyxSoft releases two updates of our software!

MPlayer-GUI, AllKeys

After a full packed summer of this :), work and this I have yet managed to do some work and these two releases.

Updated programs
MPlayer-GUI v1.50 - (OS4) GUI for MPlayer.
- Made it possible to drag'n'drop files to the playlist.
- Created a way to queue a dropped movie if another movie is already playing.
- Added a Next button that will try to increase the number of a numbered file.
- Added an OSD setting so MPlayer can be started with a specific On-Screen Display.
- Some general fixing.

AllKeys v2.31 - (OS4,MOS) Hotkey program supporting most multimedia-keys and mousebuttons.
- Fixed a crash that happened if you would add an Arexx command without a port and executed this command.
- Replaced the obsoleted Execute() with SystemTagList() for executing commands.
- Removed the MorphOS version. It serves little purpose anymore.

If you see a bug or have a suggestion, please don't hesitate to drop us an e-mail!

@Deniil715

Anything in this version tied to a specific MPlayer version?
Our current MPlayer:
Summer Edition Reloaded:
MPlayer for AmigaOS4 SVN-r29532-4.2.3

You wish it tested only with the above version?

@number6

Actually I don't know what version I'm using, but I think it is either this summer edition, or something from april. But please test with the latest and report anything that doesn't work.

For sure, but hopefully another release is on the way, an entire year is passed ...

BTW, if you remove the MorphOS bin from the new archives it is better to not overwrite the old versions (AllKeys 2.3 on Aminet) cause a lot of MOS users have 1.4.x only (think about classic Amigas)

Just my 2 cents

@samo79

I tend to argue this way:
- If some user hasn't upgraded MOS from 1.4.x and still hasn't installed the old MOS version of AllKeys, he won't need it.
- If he does have the MOS version of AllKeys and use MOS 1.4.x, then this is fine, it won't disappear from his harddisk just because I decide to drop it from the archive. I don't update the MOS version anyway. All updates are typically towards the GUI or the EXTENDED_KEY support in OS4.

@Breed

Yea, you should all try downhill biking!! It's great fun!

At least watch the vimeo video you who didn't. It works with ClipDown/getVideo too
Unfortunately I had forgot how to code hi-q videos with mencoder (didn't use trell and 2-pass) so it came out a bit more blocky than it had to.

@Denill

Yes but if someone (for example a new user) have an 1.4.x machine where he can find it if you overwrite older version from Aminet ?

Ok not so important just a thought ..
