So, we know now why is there no real word from Hyperion for a quite
long time. Evert Carton case indicates the real situation there, now
this publication of lack of coders. Hopefully thing will go better
with some strategic partnerships.

Anyone from Hyperion can say anything about it?

What on earth are you talking about? We get lots of info on what Hyperion is working on (OS4.1 for Classics, a new printing system, a new OpenGL system using Gallium3D, not to mention continuing to work on OS4 for Sam460 & X1000, a new Shell (*), USB2, etc. Not to mention multi-core support for OS4 at some stage.)

And even if you were right about lack of "real word", I think you're be reading far too much into this. We know Hyperion has lots of 3rd-party developers helping with OS4 for many years, but it would not be surprising if some of them eventually moved on (or otherwise could no-longer help out). So I see this as simply trying to "top-up" their 3rd-party developers.

i read that when you only look at the source code for a short moment you are in trap (are not allowed to participate in any other amiga-related project (f.e. Aros). Anybody knows?

Did you really read what Evert mean ? In short he mean "i was not-active for last years, i never was, and i just not have interest before, and not have it right now in it". So, its just nothing and mean nothing. Dunno why he even write his post. Maybe just for some clarification , but as usually some users found in any "leaving" words only negativite and "we all die, no future" :)

Its just a one more call to all _really_ intersted persons, who can help os4 to grow faster. If you not just talks on forums, then just write mail to Ssolie (not ask him here, just write mail), and talk about everything you think is important.

Agreed. Now it just seems like "Work free so we can sell your work!" kind of ad.

It's also a betatester call ?

Would be interesting to know as there are many thing that one can report (for example WarpOS support on some machine) and often it's not so easy to see this this and that fixed in a reasonable time because for each update we need to wait months/years

BTW: if so i vote 100% for kas1e, he already doing a lot of job and he is very dedicated to catch bugs/issue/suggests

I think if anyone will be in real interst, then he can just write mail to Steven, and ask for clarrification. I think there can be ways and for free, and for paid work. I just think that for paid work need to do something very good and important :)

I am will not do something like this of course. But its peoples. Drama, soap and so on. Everyone cry , "i need it for everyone", "i was important" feels, "i leaving/back and all that stuff :) Someone just need to make drama from nothing, and some amiga users always wait drama to discuss.
