Hey gotta say this is looking pretty awesome especially if it is running this good on my pegasos 2...... With hardware acceleration added it will be wonderfully usable.

@All

Seems to be working fine but have a question.

I have saved lots of bookmarks but don't seem to be able to organise them, I can create a folder but how do I get saved bookmarks to go into the newly created folder?

Is there a secret why DiscreetFX has to be so ironic?

Unfortunately, on my A1 (512MB RAM, CPU 1Ghz), i've encountered 2 problems (I have installed it in a new drawer):

-1st: when I launch it, it needs about 15-20 minutes before starting (I mean welcome page displayed)

-2nd: It uses about 100MB more memory than the previous version.

I will come back to the previous version.

Any way, thank you for your efforts.

Nic

I know it. That's why I haven't written more.

And on the other side, it's always useful to write when something doesn't work with a Betâ version, isn't it ?
So if the problems are the same on the "same" models, the developpers could later look why .

Nic

@unimon

I'll bet you need to do that font cache fix mentioned in the readme. It only takes my A1XE (CPU running at 1 GHz) about 20-25 seconds to open it up.

I had not noticed a difference on the memory usage (since it's a beta, I still do my Amiga browsing with MUI OWB), but it did do something last night I was not expecting.

I had opened up TimberWolf, then went to Google's main page in the one tab that was open. I logged in, then opened up Gmail. It took a while to open, but seemed to function ok. Then I opened a second tab to do a Google search. The page started to load, but then the whole thing seemed to hang. I was still able to access the Workbench and open some programs, but it was really slow so I'm pretty sure Timberwolf was hogging the CPU for something. I had about 150 MB free. I have one 512 MB stick, and usually have about 350 MB free after Workbench is fully loaded.

What was really wierd was when I opened up Ranger to see if I could freeze or otherwise kill Timberwolf, it did not appear in the Task or Process lists! Not long after that something else deadlocked Workbench, and I had to reboot.

So, I think I'll wait for the next beta, again.
