Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : Start-up's goal: run software on any chip
   posted by hnl_dk on 14-Jul-2003 7:50:35 (1607 reads)
From OSNews.com "Can Macintosh software run on an Intel machine at speeds that approach the same performance as on Apple hardware, or visa versa? Not yet, but that day may be closer if a Los Gatos start-up gets its product off the ground, and it could have implications for chip makers."

Yeah nice technology, not unlike a lot of other nice technology's, but most important is it needs a market.

I can't see apple allowing their OS to run on top of this. nor windows etc. It demonstarates a loss of control from the software producers point of view, and both MS and Apple have shown in the past they won't be tolerating such things.

It would be interesting for the CPU however.
