I got it.

Have not seen before, but two things seems to be a bit rough:

- Solid window size change easily kill the fun, when the program window is refreshing a hundred times. Could you handle it somehow better in the future?

- Thumbnail creation is very slow. Please investigate the possibility of using epeg for thumbnails.
Epeg algorithm is free and fast:https://github.com/mattes/epeg

I am looking forward for the following releases!

Edit: url fixed

DirMeUp is still a work in progress.

Regarding thumbnail view, we already use composition mode (hardware acceleration) to resize/display pictures.

But the generation of thumbnails is only one part of the problem: Reaction doesn't manage so well that kind of display.

Of course, there is still room for improvement in our code.

BTW, you link doesn't work.

Fixed the link.

Anyway there is an OS4 port on OS4Depot: epeglib

It has a binary to test which I use for image viewing. It displays very large images rescaled in a blink.

This is my script that is attached to diropus:

.key FILE

epeg --max=900 "" t:epegpic.jpg
multiview t:epegpic.jpg
delete t:epegpic.jpg

Of course it works only with jpegs, however that is the most used large image files today. Displaying rescaled jpg images should not handle other way.
