Announcement   Announcement : AMIcast - Episode 6 - New A1200 Housing
   posted by radzik on 15-Sep-2015 0:23:49 (1839 reads)
Today my guest is man behind new Amiga 1200 housing. At this episode you will get alot of information about this project: from idea to special edition. Also you will know how to obtain licence from Amiga Inc.

But maybe more important is that community can learn and believe that it is possible to do other stuff on Kickstarter than books about retro gaming.

Moreover we talk about future of Amiga, Raspberry Pi and other project like: key caps.

@AMIcast

Considering almost all things Amiga have to be self-funded, this is an important discussion. Everyone should listen, imo. There is a lot of detail in how to present a project, use Kickstarter effectively, issues to be aware of, etc.

I enjoyed all of your broadcasts, but that being said:

Audio from the interviewer has been ok, but not so much from the guest.
I realize you might not have too much control over that, but it's really dragging down the overall quality and subsequent enjoyment of these broadcasts.

Keep up the good work.

@listeners

About 37 minutes in (according to AmigaAmp) is the specific talk about licensing, although mention of this is made earlier.

@all

I am having trouble understanding the "exact" wording after the 64 minute mark.

Upon being questioned about the notion that Raspberry Pi would be interested in such a small market basically he referred to Ebon Upton:

Quote:
the Raspberry Pi Foundation Foundation CEO himself said that he would really like to see a Raspberry Pi having (garbled audio) amiga system

I assume he said "running" or similar.

Not sure if I posted this link from Amiga30th Mountain View before:

Raspberry Pi's Eben Upton on the 30th anniversary of the Amiga
