| Oh no! Games are sooo counter productive and should not be released at all. Please focus on frameworks or whatever...

| Great work Hyperion
I'll try to find time tonight - have to copy the Quake 2 installation from A1200 first (and I assume I need the map pack too, yes?) _________________ "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." (Groucho Marx)

| grumpy:why copy it from the 1200? ...much faster just to reinstall (should anyway) ... what map pack? , quake 2 downloads maps if not present but sure download packs if you can as it will save alot of "slow downloads"... _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| I've logged in & still cannot see any files to download. I can see the Freespace & OS4Update files but not Q2. What am I doing wrong?

| 1-Thanks Hyperion!
2-Do i need to install the old Amiga cd version? The old installer complains about ixnet.library isn't the same version of ixemul.library. _________________ ikir

Gotcha! I was gonna grab the executable first, read any readme's with it & order the game.
No probs. I'll order it from somewhere the weekend.

| ikir:i installed it with the old installer (long ago) with no probs on os4, just make sure you use the correct files (copy installer cd to hdd/ram: and assign it and replace the files that needed ppc (wos) with 68k installer files and so on, no probs at all...
but i havent looked at this package which was released today so... anyway .. my guess is...this still apply for the q2 os4 version that was released today!. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

You don't strictly need to unpack the pak files, it will work without that. If you install on an SFS partition, you won't even notice much difference. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail

I don't really understand what you're saying there. I've tried inserting the Hyperion Quake II installation CD into one drive, and the pc Quake 2 CD into another drive.
When I run the installer script, it created a directory 'Quake2' and puts wizard.library, WesSupport.library and installer-cookie into the directory. It then says "copying base files to your harddisk', but the mouse pointer locks up and there is no cd activity. I then reboot, and the partition has to validate.
I take it that it is not as simple as running the cd installer then? |

| Same here. Probably the installer_ppc check something for WarpOS. Try to download the installer 68k from Hyperion Website. _________________ ikir

| What the next? Shogo I hope, my copy is laying here from years! Never been able to play Shogo in a decent way on my old 1200 PPC with Warp3d. _________________ Ciao Luca
