Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, are back on your screen with a major update of hURL - the ultimate multi-protocol data transfer plugin for Hollywood which allows Hollywood scripts to transfer data using all kinds of different network protocols including full SSL support. Version 1.2 is a major update that now supports Hollywood 9's extended network adapter so that Hollywood's DownloadFile() and UploadFile() functions can now handle all protocols supported by hURL instead of just HTTP. This makes it much easier to use hURL because you often don't have to use hURL's lowlevel interface any longer but can just use DownloadFile() or UploadFile() instead.
hURL supports an incredibly wide range of transfer protocols, e.g. DICT, FILE, FTP, FTPS, Gopher, HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, IMAPS, LDAP, LDAPS, POP3, POP3S, RTMP, RTSP, SCP, SFTP, SMB, SMBS, SMTP, SMTPS, Telnet and TFTP. As with all Hollywood plugins, hURL comes with extensive documentation in various formats like PDF (over 300 pages!), HTML, AmigaGuide, and CHM that contains detailed descriptions about all functions and methods offered by the plugin.
All of this makes hURL the ultimate data transfer tool for Hollywood that contains everything you need to send and receive data via almost any transfer protocol on the planet.
hURL is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal. Thanks to Hollywood's cross-platform plugin system versions for AmigaOS3 (m68k), AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, Linux (ppc, arm, x86, x64), macOS (ppc, x86, x64), Windows (x86, x64), Android (arm, arm64), and iOS (arm, arm64) are provided.
Note that on AmigaOS and compatibles, AmiSSL 4.x is required by hURL for SSL transfers. Since this isn't available in a native MorphOS version yet, you can just use the 68k version of AmiSSL 4 on MorphOS. It has been verified to work fine with hURL.
This release was brought to you by Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business.

The magazine Obligement is active on the Amiga scene since 1997. New articles of all kind are regulary added on its website. And the number of articles has now passed the 7000 mark! To celebrate this big number, the 6999e and 7000e articles published are the original review of the Amiga 1000 PAL and NTSC.
Unfortunatly, the translation engine of the website is no more functional (thanks Google ). We are searching an alternative solution for our non-french speaking readers.
The following articles have been added to the website of the Amiga magazine Obligement (http://obligement.free.fr) during the last two months:
- September/October 2021 news. - Old articles from Joystick 29 to 32: News: Street Fighter 2 an eventful arrival, Interview with Thierry Magnaldi, Review of Ween The Prophecy, Review of Sim Life, Review of The Aquatic Games, News: Accolade in American time, Interview with David Braben, Review of The Carl Lewis Challenge, Review of Civilization, News: Silmarils' new products for summer 1992, Review of Winter Supersports 92, Review of G-LOC R360, etc. - Interview with Benoît Wiblé (crazy manager of Relec). - Review of Inviyya. - File: Monkey Island, or how Ron Gilbert created an adventure game that didn't suck. - File: What happen to Eyetech Group? (second part). - File: Amiga history, years 1984-2003 (update). - File: Zool Arcade. - File: History of ERBE Software/Topo Soft. - Hardware: Amiga 1000 PAL and Amiga 1000 NTSC. - Programming: Introduction to MUI programming on MorphOS. - Tutorial: Printing on AmigaOS 4 via GoogleCloudPrint. - Special quiz about Xtreme Racing.
Rendez-vous on http://obligement.free.fr for this nice reading. Our Twitter page : https://twitter.com/obligement Feel free to contribute. Please contact David "Daff" Brunet for more info.

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 153 preview is now available to view online |
| News posted by AndreasM on 18-Oct-2021 14:50:37 (1816 reads) |
This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 153 (November/December 2021) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.
Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:
Interview Guido Henkel Review Cybersphere - A Cyberspace Adventure Review AmigaOs 3.2
Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.
Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.
A detailed description of content and excerpts of this current issue can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=13
The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.
Caution!
We ask all Amiga Future subscribers to check whether we have the current postal address and email address of you. The Amiga Future will be packed and shipped a few days before the release date. We therefore need a change of address as soon as possible. Important: Requests for forwarding normally do not work with magazines!
We also ask you to check whether any subscription bills have already been paid. Unfortunately, many subscription bills are currently still unpaid.
