A new trust fund has been setup for Bernie Meyer and Harold Frank/H&P concerning the on going Amithlon argument.

The funds only be released when Bernie has been assured that no legal action will be brought against him by Harold Frank/H&P and visa versa, both sides are also allowed to continue development and releases of their own products. The licencing issues are the responsibility of the respective parties and are not up for debate.

News   Another nail in the coffin???
News posted by bugg on 19-Dec-2002 21:17:24 (2363 reads)
As a follow up to _Steve_'s Microsoft 98 news article, Sony and Panasonic have announced that they are to collaborate on a new Linux Distro aimed at "digital home electronic devices". They have also invited Hitachi, IBM, NEC, Philips, Samsung and Sharp etc to take part in the project and all their work will be released under the GPL. Is the time coming with OS4 on the horizon and linux dramatically increasing in use that Microsoft users will start to decrease in numbers and we see their time at the top come to a rather abrupt end.
Lets hope so.
