Sharp says it has made an "epoch-making" step towards making ultra-flat "sheet computers" after it succeeded in running a computer on a tiny piece of glass.

The functioning tiny circuit board, from a Sharp central processing unit (CPU) originally made in 1977, is imprinted on a piece of glass some 15mm square and 1mm thick.

Gabriel Hauber along with Onno Scheffers of Atomic Digital Studios have like a number of other developers been working on new developer tools for the Amiga Digital Environment. They are working on Jami, a set of Java libraries specifically written for the AmigaDE.

When asked about the A1+OS4 doing nice video/tv overlay Hans-Jörg Frieden wrote on the AmigaOS4 list:

"Yes. The overlays are supported by Picasso96, and the only thing missing is the actual TV card drivers, which aren't hard to do."
