Announcement   Announcement : TV Overlay support in OS4
posted by _Steve_ on 26-Oct-2002 15:10:29 (1894 reads)
When asked about the A1+OS4 doing nice video/tv overlay Hans-Jrg Frieden wrote on the AmigaOS4 list:

"Yes. The overlays are supported by Picasso96, and the only thing missing is the actual TV card drivers, which aren't hard to do."

This would be a very cool feature. On my orginal Amiga 1000 I had an A1300 genlock and I use to play movies in the background of Workbench all the time. Very fun with Dpaint II as well. Use to draw UFOs and, hide the cursor, and then fly them around on top of the movie. Ahh the good old days.
