GL4ESxmas for AOS4 coming ! First games using GL4ES ! |
| software OS4 posted by kas1e on 23-Dec-2018 13:04:43 (4900 reads) |
Introduction...
There is first games released which builded with usage of GL4ES wrapper which mean to give us OpenGL1.x , 2.x and some of 3.x over ogles2.library and warp3dnova.
For make those games works you need as necessary minimum ogles2.library v1.22 , and warp3dnova.library v1.58. Those requerements are 100% necessary. If you will have anything lower, you will fail, have bugs, crushes and errors. So before making any bugreport later, be sure that you have those versions at minimum.
Of course it is understandable that you also should have modern gfx card, with latest radeonHD drivers.

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 136 preview is now available to view online |
| News posted by AndreasM on 18-Dec-2018 15:30:19 (940 reads) |
This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future magazine, issue 136 (January/February 2019) that can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.
Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:
Review AmigaOS 3.1.4 Review AmiCygnix Interview Artur Gadawski (7-bit)
Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.
Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Reader's cover CD.
A detailed description of this issues contents and excerpts can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=13
The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

30.11.2018 ********** APC&TCP online shop changes to its own products
Users who often visit our online shop will have already noticed.
More and more "foreign products" disappeared in our online shop.
The background is that we no longer want to make competition to other traders. In addition, we want to concentrate more on our own products. There are some releases coming up next time. :)
In about a week, the time has come. Then we also take the last foreign article (AmigOS 4.1 FE) from our assortment.
From then on, we only offer our own products from APC&TCP on our website.

30.11.2018 ********** Amiga Future: cheats database Update
The cheats database of Amiga Future is updates weekly by David Jahn, even at first sight if it is not immediately apparent.
The cheat database on the Amiga Future webpage is probably the biggest German collection for the Amiga.
This is not just about cheats. Many solutions, tips and tricks, as well as Freezer addresses can be found in this collection.
Meanwhile you can find more as 3400 Games Cheats and solutions in the database, and there is always more.
The database is currently completely in German. If we receive enough donations for the website, we have planned to integrate a proper online database, which will also be available in English.

New version 1.4 of AmiCygnix released |
| software OS4 posted by CygnusEd on 27-Nov-2018 12:27:13 (1150 reads) |
After a long development break, new versions of the basic packages for the Unix environment "AmiCygnix" were released. In the main, bugs have been fixed which prevented the proper function of the X server on new Amiga systems.
New in AmiCygnix-Base: All display drivers and the X server binary were revised to fix the following problems:
- With newer graphics cards like the Radeon HD 7xxx the colours of the display were wrong. Fixed with the standard drivers and the rest for the most part. - Since AmigaOS 4.1 final Update 1 it came to program crashes, if the graphic driver picasso96clonewbdb was used. Is fixed now.
The display driver picasso96clonewbdb can now also open 32 bit screens internally, however, the data is still processed in 16 bits.
The print command "lpr" now supports the printout via Turboprint whereby the print quality is increased.
Updated SSL support over OpenSSL and GnuTLS. The included Trusted Certificates have been updated.
Many more improvements and bug fixes.
New in AmiCygnix-Tools:
The browser NetSurf has been relinked with OpenSSl 1.01o. Many SSL keyed pages could not be opened anymore. The problem is now largely eliminated.
Current versions of the image viewer GPicView and the GTK+ 2.0 toolkit adjuster LXAppearance.

8-bit Symphony |
| Events posted by _Steve_ on 17-Nov-2018 19:03:53 (1396 reads) |

8-Bit Symphony concert box office opens at 10am today. Thanks for your part in making it happen: it started right here!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le6XYyIJ9Wg So, this is essentially a live performance of around a half of the box-set (they use the same orchestrations, so work done on the concert is work done on the box-set).
You can get tickets at: https://www.hulltheatres.co.uk/events/8-bit-symphony
Imagine sitting in a plush hall, familiar faces here and there, looking at an orchestra as big as the one that recorded Star Wars... then they start to play Comic Bakery... then build into a giant Ocean Loader that makes you proud to be there (this track is still NotePerformer WIP)
90+ minutes later, you're stunned by a succession of hits like Monty on the Run, Ghosts and Goblins, The Last Ninja®, Firelord, and more.
If you're already coming, check in at https://www.facebook.com/events/323411458475494/ and share the event: this is the biggest thing C64 music has ever done.
