A 1600*1200 version would be nice :)

I'll get to work on it. The easy way out is rescaling the 1280x1024 version, but I'll render a bigger version instead. Only takes 10-12 hours or so until the quality is acceptable (for me)

Cool, I'll use the 1600*1200 when you're done then :)

Seems there's been intermittent problems with my ISP's webserver. Last night when I had posted links to the new wallpaper, the webhotel access was gone for 5 minutes.

So if it ain't there now, check later

New rendering made in 1600x1200. All images are now from the new render. Be sure to grab your preferred image, if preferred at all

I'll let the render rip until tomorrow. Still a slight raydiosity noise present, and since my computer is always on I'll just let it be. But it's quite acceptable now as it is.

@Englyst

I think you should try to get this on the AmigaOS 4.0 CD. There's some presets already and this would fit right into the group. Contact Hyperion about it! :)

@all

Thanks for the great response! Really warms an old boing heart

Björn - That's a good idea. Would be awesome to have on the OS4 CD .. I'll try.

PS. Just uploaded cleaner versions of the wallpaper. Rendered it for an extra 28 hours...

Really, really nice. But I think there should be some more texture to the boing ball. It kinda looks too unreal compared to the rest of the scene. Maybe a glass or marble texture or so...

@mepmepmep

You're right about the ball not fitting perfectly into the scene. I've been tinkering with it but until I find a decent look, I'm not posting any different versions. I've already got an idea for the next 3D wallpaper.. But thanks for the criticism.

Well, you will tell me that i'm picky, but the w/h ratio of the 1280x1024 version seems to be incorret... The ball not really looks like a sphere.

But i'll use it anyway... 'cause it's NICE !

That is correct. It is not rendered with the aspect ratio that fits 1280x1024.. Didn't test it out.. But that version is all I have right now.. The others are correct though.

Thanks! More to come when I'm done and satisfied with the next project. Have lots to do so it's not ready yet.
