Download the main source and use the makefile located in the ptplay/amigacmd/ directory to compile it (http://www.neoscientists.org/~tmueller/ptplay/ptplay.zip).
Simple instructions:
====================
1/ Unpack to ram:
2/ Move the file "makefile_os4" from "ram:ptplay/amigacmd/build/" to "ram:/ptplay/amigacmd/"
3/ Use notepad to edit the "makefile_os4" file and change the line "PARENT = ..." to "PARENT = ram:ptplay"
4/ Open a shell and type stack 200000 just to be sure.
5/ Type "cd ram:ptplay/amigacmd".
6/ Type "make -f makefile_os4"
7/ The program will compile to "ram:ptplay/amigacmd/bin/ptplay_os4". So copy this to your HD and use it from command line.

You need to download Ptplay here:
PTplay project page
then follow the build-instructions to compile on OS4 (with the SDK). It works here and plays great, but only mods made in Protracker 2.3a. |

The source code for an OS4 version was released on May 20, 2004. It may be possible to contact the author or check community resources for porting assistance if it's not available publicly yet. |
