No problems doing that here on OS4.0...
There are, however, a problem with drawer icons with an actual drawer. Those show an error that I haven't been able to track, but that's a special case of the above. _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

replacing files in a dir doesn't work anymore. if i copy the drawer test over another drawer called test, is says the file exists and stops, instead of copy the files over that doesn't exist. _________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

effetively that error is random. (double-clicking the .info)
Doing the same operation with the button, works as aspected.
Can you post your filetype entries for ICON? thanks

Double-clicking or using IconInfo command from a button does the same for me.
My Icon class:
Match $E310 And MatchName #?.info
And in the filetype editor I only have one internal command on LMB double-click:
Command IconInfo
Nothing peculiar at all. _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

no clue ... it seems a random behaviour.
Anyway thanks!

| OK solved!
probably i had an old/ish (don't remember why) Directoryopus.CFG.
Deleted that old one and now the iconinfo works as aspected.
Thanks for your time!
PS- gulp! i have to reconfigure everything now!!!
edit2- done!

You can still import settings on a per page basis in ConfigOpus. _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

| Hi @zerohero
This is an old problem, not related to OS4.1. Download this version instead:
http://www.zerohero.se/DOpus-4.18.3-OS4.lha
Wow, thanks. I missed this update somehow! Oops, DOpus-4.18.4-OS4.lha, and DOpus-4.18.5-OS4.lha too! Last edited by Snuffy on 22-Sep-2008 at 05:02 PM.

yes like i did.
The only one not compatible is the screen section. If i Load my old setting, the look of DO is like the 68K one.
Anyway, all fixed now!

I have just downloaded and installed DOpus-4.18.5-OS4.lha, and I have a problem running configopus.
If I run configopus from the modules drawer it opens fine, but if I try to run it from the 'C' button within DOpus my system freezes, and I have to do a hard re-boot. I have looked for a directoryopus.cfg, but I don't have one on my OS4.1 install.
Although the docs say to run DOpus from it's own directory do I need to copy any of the files to my system directories?
Do I need to run config.opus first to create the directoryopus.cfg file?
Any help gratefully recieved.

This is a problem that only happens on OS 4.1. I don't have that yet, so can't investigate. Don't run ConfigOpus from DOpus in the mean time... _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

Hi Jocke
Thanks for the quick reply. Does that mean I can configure DOpus under OS4.0, and then it runs OK on 4.1.
When I try to set up drives, running configopus from modules, on OS4.1, I get a file requester(?) with a corrupt file name, when I am actually trying to select a drive. _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

As I said, I don't have OS4.1, I have no idea how DOpus reacts under it. From what I've been told, it has bugs, but is usable. Not a lot more I can tell you... _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

nevermind the dir dir copy thing. it must have been the new requester that confused me. :)
copying files in dopus is slower than copying files with the workbench. i guess dopus is using it's own copy routine or something? could it be exchanged for the os routine? _________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

DOpus is running through 68K emulation... or is it a recompile? If it's running through emulation that might be the case.

OS4 native, of course and it wasn't a simple recompile! _________________

It's slow because it's doing all kinds of bad stuff when copying. Like the progress bars for example. Disabling them doesn't make it faster either, I think. Those should definitely be reimplemented. _________________ Common sense - So rare it's almost like a super power |

| @zerohero I'm using the latest version of Dopus4 from the link you provided in this forum topic. I can't decrypt files that were encrypted with previous Dopus4 versions. Did you change the encryption code or was this a mistake? If it's an intentional change (improvement) I'll just use old Dopus4 to decrypt my files and encrypt them with new Dopus4.
