Good on him! Hopefully this is all to be sorted shortly. It looks like the RGL impasse was the final catalyst to get this all done!

For those not willing to click the link, the X message is the following.

Mike Quote:

I've heard concerns about the future of OS3/OS4 if Amiga prevails in the case brought by a licensee in 2018.

Why? Amiga would have both the resources and the will to ensure legal and operational continuity.

It's unfortunate to be limited in what can be said while a case is ongoing, but at every Amiga event I attended, I made a point of emphasizing reconciliation and healing.

Please, let's stop the scaremongering.

Hyperion has not had the "resources" to properly continue AmigaOS development for years. Ben ruined Hyperion's credibility and the situation at Hyperion is so bad now that even Trevor may be reluctant to provide a bailout again, and if he does, Hyperion will likely lose more assets as collateral. There is another option which is to stop demonizing Mike and negotiate in good faith. Mike wants AmigaOS 3 and AmigaOS 4 development to continue from his message. I expect he would like to see Hyperion to continue as a game porting business which is unlikely to happen on the current path to complete financial failure. He has credibility by working with business partners and not coercing them or stealing from them. Ben showed how to burn bridges while Mike offers to build bridges. Wise up Hyperion shareholders before you lose everything like Ben did.

He didn't say "Good for him" but, rather, "Good on him", which means "Well done".

It is time for the Amiga community to unite for the betterment of the platform and ecosystem at large.

That time was a good 15 years ago, but I'll take late over too late.

Let's go!

Well, the sensible difference is that there might be a single entity that controls everything.

cooperation is still possible. Why not?
just no attack on HP or Amiga Os 4.x or PPC.

68k/x86/arm followers may back port zune to os 3.x.
Improve it. then port it to SDL for example.
everyone will benefit.

@ppcamiga1

Oh bless his heart! He have it in the right place! Now that we have ppcamiga1's blessing, things can finally move on! People just have to lobotomize themselves, not an high price to pay if you ask me!
