@jiyong

You seem to have built up this paranoid fantasy that I'm out to get you. I've shown on many occasions to try and pull up your baiting tactics to get back on point. Don't know what else to tell you except that I've heeded the warning of the sysops and gotten back to the thread. So if it's a dissappointment to you so be it. At this point I see it as your problem to deal with.

So how do you like your PS3? What's your favorite game?

Yes, amazingly, the blind Sony follower doesn't own a PS3 and you do... But remember, you are a Sony hater and must be made the fool...

In other on-topic news, Sony slashes prices on BluRay players:

spurring rumors of a PS3 pricecut

which if happens may finally allow a certain bsf to finally purchase one...

Below, the purchasing trends of Germany, Spain and Italy. First up is Germany:

1) Mario Strikers Charged
2) Singstar Pophits
3) Brain Training
4) Harvest Moon
5) Diddy Kong Racing
6) Two Worlds
7) World of Warcraft
8) WoW: Burning Crusade
9) Pro Evo 6 Platinum (PS2)
10) New Super Mario Bros

Next is Spain, who have failed miserably to convince anyone that they're not nuts-nuts over football, as Pro Evo 6 manages to chart three times.

1) Pro Evo 6 Platinum (PS2)
2) Pro Evo 6 (PS2)
3) Brain Training
4) God of War II
5) Spiderman 3 (PS2)
6) Wii Play
7) Mario Strikers Charged
8) Pokemon Ranger
9) Buzz!
10) Pro Evo 6 Platinum (PSP)

Finally, Italy, who still can't get enough of Peter Parker. Or Topher Grace. Most likely Topher.

1) Spiderman 3 (PS2)
2) Pirates 3 (PS2)
3) God of War II
4) Pro Evo 6 (PS2)
5) FIFA 07 Platinum (PS2)
6) Brain Training
7) Spiderman 3 (PS3)
8) BZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2
9) Animal Crossing Wild World
10) SBK 07 Superbike World Championship

Sorry my bad I must have missed that along the way. Well I hope when he gets a PS3 it turns out to be as great as he desires.

Famitsu's Most wanted games in Japan.
Quote:
1. Dragon Quest IX (DS, Square Enix)
2. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Square Enix)
3. Biohazard 5 (PS3, Capcom)
4. Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3, Konami)
5. Monster Hunter 3 (PS3, Capcom)
6. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS, Nintendo)
7. Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Wii, Square Enix)
8. Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations (PS2, Banpresto)
9. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, Nintendo)
10. Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360, Microsoft)
11. Everybody's Golf 5 (PS3, Sony)
12. Animal Crossing (Wii, Nintendo)
13. Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Capcom)
14. Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII (PSP, Square Enix)
15. It's a Wonderful World (DS, Square Enix)
16. Final Fantasy Versus XIII (PS3, Square Enix)
17. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, Nintendo)
18. Gran Turismo 5 (PS3, Sony)
19. Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume (Xbox 360, Bandai Namco)
20. Halo 3 (Xbox 360, Microsoft)

One thing to interest is that half of the PS3 games are now dual console. Biohazard5, MGS, Monster Hunter 3, DMC4 - indeed interesting. I'd like to see the PS3 sell more in Japan but I think this sort of thing will split fans a bit more between the 360 and PS3 and in turn the Wii will continue to eat both those 2 for lunch, in Japan of course. At this point I think if Sony fails to keep Final Fantasy an exclusive and a 360 port happens the PS3 will end up being 3rd worldwide by the time the next gen ships.

@BrianK

I pay ZERO attention to "Most Wanted" lists.
The car I most want is a Lamborgini...but I won't pay for it.
A Sony follower, blind or otherwise, may want a PS3, but he won't pay for it.
Well, not until a price drop anyway...

It's all about units sold...
That's why I list what I list...

Oh, it looks like your memory is slowly coming back again. Read: slowly.
I also told you WHY I don't have a PS3 yet, but I guess that slipped your mind AGAIN. But that doesn't fit into your propaganda, right?

Since I own European PS2 games, it looks like it won't help me much by buying a US PS3.
End of this month I'm going to leave NY and fly back to the Netherlands. I guess you know what my first 500+ euro purchase will be.

Brian has been misquoting/misinterpreting Sony on multiple occasions and when I address it he starts twisting things.

Just a simple acknowledgment is all that is needed, but no, Brian decides to try to fight my accurate posts. So I'm not making a fool out of him, he does it himself.

Since when are you posting on-topic? Do you see Wii in the topic? And remember, I never start these remarks about on- or off-topic, I only do it as soon as you bring it up. And to follow your style of reasoning, don't bother addressing it, since I only react.

Luckily only the PS3 is Lamborgini priced. But seriously videogames are obviously easier to track desires to sales due to the price factor. Yes not everyone will buy everygame. I think the list is interesting because there are 360 games in Japan that make the list, it's not wholly hated though the worst seller there. Also that Square appears to have a good grasp of the Japanese marketplace.

Stock analysts are already projecting a poor outlook for Sony in 08.
Quote:
The (PS3) poor sales numbers also raise the question of whether Sony has permanently lost the crown as the world's largest maker of video game consoles. At this point, both the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Wii outsell PS3 in most markets. Sony's Playstation 2 continues to sell well, but the Japanese company is not betting its future on an aged product.

Sony's financial projections for the current year may already be looking like a stretch.

Ah yes, it's all or nothing rule. Either you get a 1080p TV and Dolby 7.1 system along with your PS3 or nothing...

...cuz a PS3 isn't of value to you in SD with only 2 channel sound...

LOL, Nintendo was talking about people like you. That's why Sony's in last place. It's a $3000 cost of entry to truly benefit. Otherwise it's just a PS2 with more polygons...

fyi,
you've instigated spats with me and 2 other people in this thread alone. Those other 2 both own PS3's. Does that tell you something about your distorted interpretation of written words or are we the delusional ones?

Final and last warning to all. Drop the petty insulting and snipe remarks. I really don't care who is to blame for this.

Though, the PS3 will benefit from having 1080p and Dolby 7.1 it is not an "ALL" or nothing proposition. Though I can play on a 1080i Projector and only 5.1 Dolby surround (100 watts per channel and a 12 inch 150 watt sub woofer with it's own amp), I mostly play on my standard definition rear projection TV and it's just brilliant. To your last comment above. Have you ever played around with a PS3? If so, how about since 1.80? How about a PS3 post 1.80, with a PSP on the road?

PS3 in last place to what and where? Hasn't the PS3 sold more in it's first 6 months than the 360 did in the US? Not exactly shockingly bad numbers, with no big name titles out yet. Yep, the PS2 is like the PS1 but with more polygons. Yep, the Wii is like the Cube with more... um... just a little more polygons.

No offense, but your red eyed anti Sony stance is just getting old.

@KrasH

Sigh.. Thread locked.

/edit. I hereby request from all who were active in posting in this thread not to make a new PS3 thread for at least a month. Thanks.
