Well, it depends. I'm no expert, but some old companies do still guard their copyrighted material for their back catalogue. Sometimes, you may think the original company went bust, but quite often their back catalogue is now owned by another software house.
If the name and the graphics are suitably different from the original, and you don't sell the game for profit, you should be OK. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

Download an SDK from your phone manufacturers website, and read the docs
Also, go to suns website and read up on Java 2 Micro Edition. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

Im using Nokia suite 6.5.12
The app part installs the app from the PC, then I have to finish it off on the phone. This is the only way I have found of installing games on the phone. Prince Of persia and FIFA etc all worked this way.

"finish it off on the phone"? I don't know what you mean. Nokia Application installer just copies it over for me and then it shows up in my Applications menu on the phone. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

when I double click on a java .jar the nokia installer copies the file over to the phone, and informs me that I must follow the prompts on the phone to complete the installation.
The phone asks me whether I want to install the app, and whether to install to phone or card memory, and it then installs it. I dont know where, as they do not appear on the memory card or phone memory in the file explorer.

| Hi,
to all of you application-installers.
I can recommend you this:
http://www.8ung.at/nokiagamesinstaller/
It's a third party Nokia Suite Addon. It alows you to install games in the games drawer (hey, I am an Amiga- User ) instead of the application's one. Where it normally ends up when installing or downloading it.
BTW, got to play it on my Girlfriend's 3100 and I must say, it is much slower there. Didn't think it would be such a difference between a 6230 and a 3100 when it comes to java-games... It's quite nice, that you can have a cup of coffee while sitting on a yellow stone.
CU, Mario

Hmm... while moving your player may go at different speeds, the amount of time you can spend on the yellow squares should be the same. Its done via a timer! _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

Yeah, moving at light-speed. ;)
But the time to rest is not the same here...
Time for resting on a yellow stone till you fall is:
- about 4secs on Nokia 3100 - about 1sec on Nokia 6230
See, that it is a quite speedy game on the 6230.
What's your value?
CU, Mario
PS: Anyone here having different values? _________________ ********** AMIGA - More Than Just Standard ********** |

Well, I've fixed that bug. I haven't had a chance to make any other changes at this time, though. It should now take 2 seconds on any phone.
The JAR file is here:

Good job!
Nice game (I already made it to level 2!!!) Works great on my 6170 phone.
I'm not a die-hard-mobile-phone-gamer but it's a nice way to kill some time in a meeting

Pretty cool. How portable is it?
FuZion. |
The device's portability depends on its size and design, but modern technology often favors compactness for ease of transportation. Without specific details about the item you referred to as "cool," I can only assume that if it has been designed with mobility in mind (like a smartphone or tablet), then it's quite portable. |
