I'd guess that Hyperion now is getting OS4 ported to X1000. That is their priority because their future and the future of OS4 depends on it. I don't think you'll be hearing much about OS4 in the next year or so until X1000 gets on sale, if ever.

It's not being sensitive, it's about responding to your accusation that Amigans.net is a "fanboy" site. It isn't. Yours was a clear attempt to make amigans.net look ridiculous.

Amigans.net is an Amiga only site which provides good Amiga (and specifically OS4) support, it's where Amiga OS4 users hang around to discuss their platform, its problems and development instead of wasting time talking about (for the millionth time) a port of AOS for X86, how expensive the hardware is blah blah...

If I need help and support regarding OS4 and I don't want to go through a zillion threads that are no use to me. Amigans.net provides just that, clear support and answers for AmigaOS and because of that they get labelled "fanboy site".

This is REALITY = there are quite a few users here on amigaworld.net who, maybe for fun, to wind people up, keep slagging AmigaOS4 off, the hardware (SAMs) and future hardware (X1000), making people who are sticking with OS4 and its hardware look like fools.

If Hyperion have been silent for a while there might be a reason, have you tried contacting them?

Do you realize your nick is easy to pick up on?

In pratical terms TimberWolf is frozen since FireFox is getting a major update. Or a new release version. So they are waiting till that is out since there can be major code changes. I'm sure I read that here somewhere else.

you did. rogue has mentioned this at least once on amigans.net. i suspect the friedens have their hands full with the changes to kickstart to support the X1000. whole new processor; updated PowerISA; whole new firmware; a bunch of work at the low-levels of the system.

hopefully we'll hear plenty of news at amiwest since they'll both be there representing hyperion.

realize fault was to miss the simple fact that we are on the verge of news filled show (Amiwest) some other were too aggressive.

So let's make peace and eagerly wait for what could turn out being the greatest Amiga show since a very long while (when did you have the current Kernel creators meeting Carl Sassenrath who will also bring his work to AmigaOS4? )

I would call it a fanboy site for the simple fact of how they moderate. They moderate away any comment that is slightly skeptical or isnt praising the OS4.x products.

I've had a nice conversation with he (and others) on morphzone
I believe he just has a desire to understand things, but again...that's just my own perspective.

Thanks i'm glad someone is living in reality. its a known fanboy site, and judging from some of the silly agressive posts here look like there still is fanboys. Its sad they hijacked a serious thread though.

Just because i'm a big morphos fan (i'm a linux fan too now what, oh and an amiga os fan, and a blah blah fan) doesnt mean i'm not an os4 fan. one reason i kept my peg2 was to run os4. But i need reasons to buy it especially when i run registered morphos already. I waiting for some new developments so i can decide whether to dump the peg or what..

dont know why i'm explaing myself, and I wanted to say some of you guys really need to exsist in RL for a while, too much time on your hands.. Go outside, feel the wind, smell a flower, TOUCH a LIVE GIRL for a change!
