I'm putting you on the NO list for potential orders.

I am afraid he or she might create a new, imaginary ebay account just to fool you and take all these notebooks from you. So I'd suggest halting the auction just to make sure.

BTW Why do you pick the questions you want to answer all the time goddamnit??? Don't you think leaving the questions unreplied causes your credibility loss?

EDIT* typ0 + offensive phrase was cut off

@DiskDoctor

$450.00/HR for a lawyer is considered cheap.

The questions are not being ignored. Perhaps the answers do not suite!

It may be true that these questions are indeed not ignored by you, perhaps he should have said "unanswered" instead. Whichever word is more appropriate, the result seems the same.

Just have a look at politicians from any country on TV, RADIO and Print, and you will see what avoiding questions is all about!

True. But it actually depends who you're talking to - the masses or some smart people you claim to respect.

@meet.mrnrg

Acube actually had a business plan and worked with Hyperion to port OS4 to the SAM. What have you done to get OS4 ported to the LimePC? Wait, I already have the answer. Nothing! So stop comparing what you're doing on eBay with anything Acube and Hyperion have done. You're just insulting everyone again.

is it showing everyone enough of how you conduct yourself to decide if they should ever do business with you.

I certainly hope that's the case. At first at least, until it became obvious he had no real intentions of answering valid questions, nor had any valid plan other than 'give me some money'...people were indeed trying to give him some constructive criticism, myself included, even after the thread quickly degenerated. He chose to ignore that all, as 'obviously' every one of them must simply 'misunderstand him' and can't possibly have any valid concerns or points.

So, let him reap what he has sown. Perhaps one day he'll understand what it takes to interact intelligently and professionally with people simply asking questions..or, perhaps not.

Does the AW forum offer PayPal? Buyer Protection? Does it Offer Customer Database and Messaging and Trouble Resolution System?

ALL those I need to protect the business and protect the customer!

Also does AW have any global buying power on USPS or UPS Worldwide?

Do you REALLY want someone to help you set up a UPS WorldShip account? It's pretty trivial. And if you're unable to pay the very low basic fees, then you are not yet ready to pretend you're shipping daily.

Paypal gets a few percent on all sales. How did we get to 100% markup again?

Surely, you didn't pay retail yourself on them? If so, perhaps 'bad business move.'

The insult is that the argument/s lack/ss context, its the same context of nonsense repeated over and over again!

Not funny.

I SINCERELY hope that is not the case. It's not obvious given the context if he's making a generalization or direct reference, but either way, it certainly givesindications of the type of *man*, let alone 'business man,' he is.

People are shot and killed nearly everywhere. nrg - was there an actual point here, or just proving you're capable of bad taste here, and hoping somehow this would make *anyone* wantto do 'business' with you down the road?

(yes, I do want an answer, if this is as fairlane took it, this will be handled as a TOS violation).

I've suggested you split out your 'ebay sales and dreams of business' vs 'helping anything amiga related' into two separate threads. You agreed, but I haven't seen any new thread.

Regardless, your link to ebay is being removed after this post. Feel free to continue this however you'd like, but any ebay links fopr personal profit go into classifieds only.

@wegster

I'm starting to wonder if meet.mrnrg isn't using the old movie star axiom of "any press is good press, even if it's bad". Maybe that would be giving him too much leeway in light of all his comments

On the other hand, he seems clueless and unwilling or unable to engage in anything above the level of an 8 yr old.

Sorry if my 2 cents offends anyone, but I'm finding myself quite offended for enduring meet.mrnrg and his thread. And yes, I know I don't have to read it but it's like watching a train wreck. I can't seem to pull my eyes away.

So, who was is aimed at? I asked not so much because of who, but as I missed the context, could not tell if it was joking or flaming, which is regardless of whom something may be aimed at.

I'm sure you're not the only one who has similar thoughts.

I don't get it either. There certainly IS such a thing as 'bad advertising.'

You summed up most of the discussion that didn't even cover actual product evaluation or introspection. Most of the discussion was people here sitting in these forums that have got nothing better to do, than to try and dismantle people, dismantle business, dismiss promising ideas.

All for their own self glorification.

Those people need to take a good long look at their own posts, and see how childish they are.

@meet.mrnrg

When did you order the units, and when did they arrive to be in your possession?

How much did the units cost you, since you seem to think claims of 100% markup are off base?

Why is it listed on eBay as a generic LimePC, when on here you are trumpeting it as an Amiga development system?

@SAY.NO.TO.LIES

You would need $500,000 (BULK PRE-PAID ORDER) to even get close to offering systems to the public for less than $500.00. CAN ANYONE HANDLE THE TRUTH! LET ALONE SELL 1 million dollars worth of notebooks, quick enough to make money back! Or will they just foreclose on their bank loans, and call it TOXIC Assets.

A couple simple realities:

Mass-produced notebooks/laptops/cute-little-computers have (or did have, during the good old days) a production lifespan of about 90 days. To keep up with changes in specifications, an operating system developer would need to stay ahead of that 90 day cycle, shipping patches in time with product releases. For Amiga developers, most of whom have day jobs, that's quite a difficult task.

Devices with static specifications become more expensive to produce over time as components become more difficult to source. You can't build a business model around that and expect to produce a product at a fair price with a reasonable return on your investment.
