One day, I'd love to own an Amiga again (miss my A1200, A4000).

Just having a bit of fun concepting ideas. :) All inspired by Amiga of course.

Please note that these ideas are not necessarily how I would like to see future Amiga GUI designs.

The reference is from Workbench Version 1.0

Always refining pixels... :)

The interface doesn't show that the mouse cursor is a transparent png file, with possible multiple states.

@invent

That's the kind of nice clean simplicity I like to keep my Workbench screens looking like...

Reckon the Icons are wee bit on the big side though but nice nonetheless...

@Franko

Hey Franko, oh yes, very true about icon size too big. :) Those at the bottom of screen, converting the floppy disk icon into a hard drive icon with % full, or some other rollover effect.

@invent

I absolutely love it. There's just something about that set of colors that makes sense

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

@invent

Yup I like it. It's nice and simple Maybe go for a bit of a faux pixelated look to give it that sort of "retro" style and I say you have a complete winner in my opinion.

@All

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Does anyone know what the Natami GUI will look like? If, when the project finishes.

@CritAnime

Hi CritAnime, the "faux pixelated look" is an interesting idea, I aim to draw some of the other icons/windows in Workbench 1.0 and will be interesting to see how they turn out.

On the other hand, I notice the conspicuous absence of the actual RGB values (the numbers). There ARE times where you want to just type in the RGB values, or take the RGB values that are in the GUI and apply them to some other thing so the colors match. Say, you want to take the colors into a paint program to make sure the background in that image matches the desktop color, or you've gotten the RGB values for Goldenrod yellow from a web guide and need one of the GUI colors to be set to that.

@NomadOfNorad

Good point this image closer represents the original design. Not sure I have seen the actual RGB value numbers but the number could float inside the selected colour while dragging the slider. Hovering over the individual colours may also make active giving you the ability to type the new value.

Created a few icons. :)

Awesome! Could you make a few ones in desktop resolutions to use as wallpapers?
