That is something really worth investing in if it can be modeled to look and feel like as if it were an Amiga built as a new model from Commodore, an evolution of sorts, with all the bells and whistles we should have had years ago.
My interest in particular is tracking music, so, with the AAA promise of having 16bit 16channel audio support (with maybe more channels that originally planned for), this would be outstanding. Midi and DSP functionality would be great as well. Akiko chip in software as part of the core?
The other hope would be if this board also included a geek port edge connector, so additional hardware could be snapped on. It may evoke a whole new ecosystem of hardware add-on developers as well, to add additional hardware capabilities to the system.
what he asked for was something like that under the brand "Amiga". But I personal doubt that this will happen because there are too many parties who think they are the only true successors. It would be best if the brand would be controlled and licensed by a independent identity who would care that every relevant company/group who produces really amiga-related products could use the name. But that is just dreaming...
