Which Amiga configuration is most fun to use?

Hello,

I have A600, A1200 with 1230, A1200 with Pistorm CM4, X5000 and A1222+ and lately I found that A1200 with classic 1230 accelerator offers more fun than A1200 with Pistorm (nothing against Pistorm, it is amazing solution, just feel like RTG, Wifi and etc. is out of this world for A1200).

So A1200 with 030 is used for games and X5000/A1222 more like daily driver (as much as this is possible)...

Which Amiga configuration is most fun for you to use?

@hlt

You know you can use pistorm without RTG etc.

I have great fun with an A1000 with pistorm, still using only OCS output on a matching 1084, with OS 3.2 configured as best I could to look like 1.x. I really wish there was a prefs for Intuition to make it really look exactly like 1.3 in terms of widgets, gadgets and window borders.

@hlt

Hello hlt.

Many years ago, I purchased an A2000HD for use by my family (my wife, son and me). We had a good suite of programs plus several games for children. Over the years, I added some more RAM, CDROM drive, flicker-fixer board and upgraded to AmigaOS 3.1.

Later, we joined the mainstream and purchased a series of Windows systems.

In 2004, I purchased an Eyetech Micro AmigaOne (aka Micro-A1 or MicroA1) motherboard with AmigaOS4 Developer's Pre-release operating system from a company in Eastern Canada. I was not a developer or a beta tester. I was just interested in trying something new. I got the other parts locally and built my own computer.

I purchased OS 3.2 with the intent to upgrade the A2000HD, but ended up installing it on my MicroA1 to use with E-UAE emulator.

Now, my A2000HD is in storage and I have used my MicroA1 and OS4 for 21 years.

In summary, my "Amiga" systems were A2000HD and MicroA1. I like both systems.
