| We will shortly be launching a brand new Amiga joystick which we have developed over the last 6 months.
This high quality joystick is manufactured to last for many years of Amiga gaming.
It features arcade style controller with metal shaft and micro switches.
It has independent fire A and fire B buttons that can both be user switched to single fire A operation if required.

Cool love it, will have to buy one
While I'm here, can you investigate the possibility to build a wireless option (you could probably borrow the transmitter from those cheap PSX wireless joysticks). |

Thanks- it is a sturdy item so suckers are not needed in operation.
This is the Classic Amiga version (posted in Classic Amiga Hardware section of this forum)
We are investigating a USB version for AmigaOne machines right now.
@NovaCoder
Wireless is a good idea- we will look into it.

That's pretty cool. I was wondering where I left my Competition Pro frankenstick the other week; never did find it. What kind of price point are we talking here?
One thing that springs to mind - is the lead captive, or is there a plug on the unit itself? I often found that the leads were the first thing to go on my sticks, and it'd be nice to be able to replace them easily. If not, then I guess I could always break out the soldering iron... I only burn myself if I'm using it on days ending in "y". _________________ "Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard, be evil." |

Excellent. Are there rubber feet of some sort to protect the joystick and my desk? |

It looks like it was developed for lefties; somehow the position of the fire button and the cables seems to be wrong.
Did you use some of these http://www.arcadomaniashop.com/Arcade-Joystick-Japan or have you added USB support for WinUAE? Last edited by Arko on 05-Dec-2013 at 12:52 PM. Last edited by Arko on 05-Dec-2013 at 12:48 PM.

That's what I thought too. Too bad they chose to stray from the classic placement, I can't use it that way despite looking great.
edit: Maybe I've looked at it the wrong way and it is for right handed gaming after all. So, plz amigakit, clarify, is the stick to be used with the left or right hand? Last edited by vulture on 05-Dec-2013 at 05:02 PM.

Is the curve on photo of the joystick its down side (i.e. you hold the stick with your right hand)? What's the ETA and cost? BTW, though I am a right handed person, I only prefer southpaw controllers (I hold the stick with my right hand) but similar type of controllers are custom and have limited availability. Therefore I am forced to buy them rather expensive at ebay. I hope you solution comes in DB9 and USB as well, since it could serve as an borad arcade purpose joystick, not only Amiga wise :) _________________

Long time lurker here, just popped in to say how great this joystick is looking! Insta-buy when released.
I'm a big retro gaming fan, and this stick is looking ideal for old speccy, cpc and pc engince games (ofcourse, and amiga). When I first saw it, I wasn't sure about just 2 fire buttons, but thinking about it, it will actaully work really well, as you won't have the distraction of having many buttons and only using two.
I see it's using the nine pin port, are you planning to sell it with a usb adaptor?

Instead of a single fire A, have you thought about replicating the "Up" direction as fire B? That would solve the big problem I have with games like superfrog, rainbow islands etc. Pushing up to jump just feels wrong these days!
On a longer term, if this proves a success, will you be reaching out to the wider retro community? With a few more buttons, it would be perfect for mame emulation (and megadrive emulation)
How do I "+1" or "like" on these forums? |

It has come a long way since the prototype I was shown this summer at Snibston. Great look. _________________

Looks excellent, well done!
As for wireless, that's a project I've had on the back burner for quite a while now, but my approach was to have 2 boxes - one that plugs into the Amiga's two 9-pin sockets, and one with 2 sockets that you can plug two joysticks into. That way they could be used for any joysticks, old or new, and even mice! Maybe you could approach that way? _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X |

| Any views on pricing, I'd like a couple but not if it's silly money? (Less than £30 a unit really)
