I don't know if Ranger would tell you the specifics of your CPU or not. The only way I know of checking the specific processor is to remove the heatsink... carefully removing it that is. If your processor is MC7457RX867NC or MC7447RX867NB, then you have the 866MHz version. Otherwise, you merely have a jumper shorting issue as has already been said.

My hope is that your processor is indeed a 1GHz or higher PPC, since the Peg2 came standard with such speeds. I just don't know why anyone would underclock the processor to 866MHz unless they had replaced it at one time, or had inadequate cooling.
