well, in this case i just mean someone not obsessed with bad feelings about the human body.

actually I am more concerned with how qualified such persons are with dealing with people and customers in particular.

As "the customer" I have gone to airports with shoes that can be easily slipped off, not wearing any metal at all, no bulky clothing: partly as a consideration to other passengers.
I have everything organized so i can quickly repack whatever is looked over by security.
not everyone does all this thinking before hand.

sometimes it goes quickly, but you still feel like you have gone through a ringer!

who's organizing the proceedure for boarding??
maybe the whole process needs to be re-thought.
change that. there's no "maybe" about it!

first off you seem to think religious=perfect this couldn't be farther from the truth. people are people humans sin and fall short of godliness. if you use the religious=perfect standard than it is no wonder you are so pessimistic. there is not one human walking this earth that is perfect. nobody! you have to judge a person by his/her actions when their sins are exposed to know their heart. ask yourself would you walk out on a television show and bare your sins to them and beg for forgiveness or would you say no comment and hope it goes away. this shows me the true nature of a person.

yea it really sounds like you understand. hint hint.

people like swaggert encourage people to be better than they are. this in itself does not mean they themselves are perfect. if he had claimed nothing happened or dodged the issue. i would be right there with you. instead he came out and admitted his sin and asked for forgivemess this in my opinion speaks volumes to me.

Now baker on the other hand decided to pretend nothing was wrong and pretended that it never happened. meanwhile him and his wife was pilfering money from the ministry.

i think swaggert has way more character than baker ever thought of having.

but anyway we are getting way off topic here.

religion has nothing to do with the nudity issue this is a personal issue. some people are ashamed of their bodies, some people think it is repugnant due to personal beliefs, while others are repulsed at the fact that the government stops all forms of bodily nudity public or private except when it is counterproductive to what they want.

I usually carry no baggage at all unless I'm going to a country that sells no clothes. Less things to lose (Which anyone who fly's Aeroflot will understand). Besides, I'm a hippie. What the heck would I need to take to another country that I wouldn't need to take to my local shops? As far as I can recall, all countries sell food/cleaning products. What else do you need?

Baggage is the waste product of too much materialism. Power to the people!

Basically I think this fixation on security is more scam than anything else.

Having worked as a male nurse for half a decade in the 1980s, I will tell you, seeing lots and lots of nude bodies is anything but stimulating. Consider the incredible variety of bodies moving through and airport and you get the picture.

Mind you as a nurse I was there to help people, surprisingly even when this meant dealing with very attractive females in the nude, it does not actually make them sexual objects.

airport security, well that is another matter, what do they do all day, except perve and peek, their job abstracts the people from what they are looking at and the boredom factor must be very high. I suppose they would spend a lot of time waiting for some nice looking woman to step through, or male as the case may be.

Personally I wear my newly purchased clothes a bit more than once, so I bring almost enough clothes to last me through enough of the trip to find either a: something cheap to wear or b: a washing machine. Almost.

I'm notorious for packing light, though. It's something you learn when going on bicycle holidays

Ahh you see there is a trick to that. We wear nothing under our kilts so that a certain area dangles in the breeze and goes numb. Then when the wee timorous beasties go for dinner, most are clubbed to death and the few survivors that make it deserve a wee taste, which we can't feel due to the numbness.
