| Hi,
some of my relatives moved to Grove (Oklahoma). And I saw a map that area in some colurfull-commercial-flyer. :) And I was really surprised when I read "Monkey Island" on it. :D Guess I really need to visit them some time soon, and take my DigiCam to get some proves that I put my foot on MI. Well, I wonder, how LucasArts can TM the the term "Monkey Island"... Ok, in the US everything seems possible. ;)

I'm not so surprised to hear there is a Monkey Island but I am surprised it's in Oklahoma. Is it on a lake? Is it shaped like a monkey? I'd REALLY be surprised if it was in Oklahoma AND got it's name because it had monkeys on it. If you told me that I'd have to tell you that you, Guybrush, and Petro have been drinking too much Dunkel Grog ;).

Ooh... so monkey island isn't so secret then!
Thought you had to mix up some kind of recipe including a pressed skull (jolly roger,) monkey blood (wine,) and a rubber chicken?
Watch out for LeChuck and his rascally band of ghosts! Take root beer! _________________ SEX SUX

Here's a quote from wikipedia:
Quote:
Monkey Island, an island in the Grand Lake of the Cherokee in northeast Oklahoma. Primarily a resort area, there are no wild monkeys on Oklahoma's Monkey Island.

Oklahoma? Yuck. I hear they have tarantulas all over down there. I would never live somewhere where they have spiders bigger than my hand. _________________ ...wait... what? |

I understand your concern about the size of tarantulas in Oklahoma, but remember that it's just a preference and not everyone feels threatened by them! They are mostly harmless creatures who prefer to avoid humans anyway. And hey, we all have our unique fears or dislikes - mine is heights! |
