@djrikki

Just reposting the link to the FAQ for this particular forum, since it is unlike all the other forums on AW and we have not been using it lately:

Well, wake up and guess what: it's already 2018! 7 years already since the last post in this thread and 10 years since its very opening. We should all know by now don't you think so? Besides, Tabor is (still) coming (?) so that should also pretty much answer your question

With the standalone Vampire looming it is likely they have dropped the Minimig+.

They are involved in the design of the open source PPC laptop. The first phase was funded earlier this month and Acube are due provide the electrical schematics next month.

@Rob

Wow this is very interesting, I wonder if Acube will provide AmigaOS 4.1 ported to this laptop and I wonder if the MorphOS community will move toward porting to this laptop?

I have been wondering why Acube dropped off the map in terms of the Amiga Community?

No they won't. ACube has never ported AmigaOS4 to any harware - Hyperion has.

Yes I know that Hyperion does the porting but thanks for making it clearer it is of course what I was meaning to convey. I just have understood that ACube nearly always sell there systems with AmigaOS 4.x bundled I just hope this will be the case this time around.

@Fairdinkem

So the question is "Do Hyperion want OS4 on this laptop?".
Considering it can bring them several hundreds license, they should be interested to get some income.

@elwood

If you read what Hyperion said it's something like if you've a HW and want to have OS 4.x on it you've to come to them not the other way around.

@Birbo

Wrong time of year to ask this question, does not Italy close shops in the summertime?

Yes I agree, it be great if they did not stop selling the Sam460, its nice computer that offer the right price / hardware performance to get started with AmigaOS4.1

ACube is apparently still alive, as the open-source PPC notebook team met with them last month, as mentioned in their latest blog post.. I would also note the notebook project seems to be moving along with an actual design point, and a chassis now selected. Starting to think this thing might actually happen. It'd be terrific if AOS4 is still around to be ported by the time it arrives....
