Wayfarer gets better and better. Throw any url at it, it renders it just fine. Albeit due to weak ppcs it takes a little time on many sites. But it's really good to use and is quite an enabler! _________________ My programs: via.bckrs.de MorphOS user since V0.4 (2001) |

Yes, the elf.library will need to be updated for full kernel TLS support. Nevertheless, it's no barrier to getting started porting WebKit right now.

And no, this is no flame invitation (we chewed that through and through in recent years), but it just has developd as it has: MorphOS has the development tools, the hardware and useable internet software. And if you don't like the default look of MorphOS, you can easily skin MorphOS to look like OS4. Of course also on MorphOS there are issues and flaws, but with joined resources it would be easier to bring it forward. It's only a friendly invitation, everyone is free to decide. |
Honestly with Hyperion tied up in lawsuits for what seems like eternity and A-Eon making Enhancer packs to update AmigaOS4.1 in their absence I’m sure most of us users will agree that OS4.1 and MorphOS on PPC hardware should have been joining forces years ago! Damn the lawyers and NDA’s the Red vs Blue wars are over and NOW’s the time to come up with a purple coloured OS to unite all PPC systems Amiga style _________________ ____________________________ c64-2sids, A1000, A1200T-060@50(finally working!),A4000-CSMKIII ! The MorphOS vs. OS4 days are long gone. In recent years Frank Mariak, Mark Olsen and other MorphOS devs have stepped in and provided invaluable Uboot and driver support for A-EON machines benefiting OS4. This help was much appreciated and not forgotten. We will always be open to working across the Amiga family for the benefit of this community. |

| I cannot get Wayfarer (4.2) to work with GMX mail... Even with the 'Chrome' user agent I get an error message about a non-supported browser, and only some ancient, very basic user-interface can be used.
I would expect that the new engine used in Wayfarer 4 can do better, though. Could someone please advice what settings/user agent are needed for GMX? Thank you!

Jacadcaps wrote sometime ago: "gmx.net loads here, albeit it needs several minutes on a 2.3GHz G5. The reason it's so slow is simple: very heavy JavaScript. Try to spoof as Safari/iOS, it appears to run a little better."
Perhaps they have changed something to go even worst. You can try with Iris anyway |

| A small bug crept in and the archive was just updated. The correct Wayfarer binary has an md5 of 0bf585270f7f2246a47ab47f88279a8e.
Please re-download if you've already installed 4.4. |

| 4.8 is now out to fix the socks proxy regression. Coincidentally, 4.7 and 4.8 appear to benefit from a recent cURL optimization enabling SSL certificate caching. This should make pages loading resources from multiple servers a lot less CPU intensive.

4.9 is out now. Get it from the usual place.
Iris has been updated, too. V.1.8 now.
